  1. Back Door Santa Clause -- BB King LMAO the first time that I heard it.
  2. My son has been vomiting non-stop ever since he read the rumor on Twitter 2 days ago. Yeah, he knows Zib is our future but still, he would have liked to re-use the jersey in his closet.
  3. ...or Dick Emrick. Ban? Veteran (especially when it's pronounced, "Vetrin."
  4. My son said we gotta' see this....so heading to CitiField Sept. 13 v. LAD.
  5. When Gerry died, I was thinking about the same thing and had concern that the music wouldn't continue. John Mayer has brought a new interpretation and new life to the great catalog of GD music and I still enjoy hearing the songs performed live. That said, this summer's show at CitiField lacked pace. I came looking for more but still found a load of joy. As long as they keep playing, I'm going. Yoko? That 'scream' music she's putting out (and has been doing so) is beyond my pay-grade of understanding.
  6. So fortunate to see Rolling Stones at MetLife last night. Holy smoke -- what a show! These guys can crank out some tunes and they looked like they were having such fun too. The band was tight and energetic. Jagger is an amazing front-man. Cliche as it sounds, you really get the feeling he is connecting with everyone in the stadium individually. Lady in front of me was 10 when she went to her first Stones show and she brought her daughters ages 12 & 13 to this one...that is so great to see. I took my nephew (age 20) to his first big stadium show and he was duly impressed with the entire spectacle and it's something he will remember forever. My mom told me this morning that the band was at the Tic-Toc Diner on Route 3 for breakfast over the weekend and after word got out, people were there for hours on Sunday morning hoping they would come back. THAT was not likely to happen. LOL I love my Grateful Dead shows from long ago but this was somehow beyond amazing. These guys have been playing for 50+ years and their range of music is incredible. That and the fact that they can still bring it is really something to see and hear. Get out and see them!
  7. 100% agree. TBL has become the NYR retirement home...and the fact that it's in Florida makes it even more laughable. LOL
  8. Cinderella getting her f#*@ing dress altered! Holy smoke.
  9. Hungarian GP - VER got nipped by HAM at the end with a role-of-the-dice tire change that saw Mercedes win again. I feel bad for VER but he seemed to take it all in stride. Ferrari? They need 2 weeks off just to wake up from the fog created from finishing 60-seconds off the pace. With Red Bull in the hunt for real and McLaren on the rise too, the second half should be fun. Monza next.
  10. https://t.co/PjO6lEe6zw NY Post: Kevin Shattenkirk is not close to Rangers? worst free-agent bust
  11. Ya? gotta? believe. Let?s see a Cinderella ending.
  12. I?d watch some really old games. One a week would be fun.
  13. ^It's all good SBR35. Life's a process and you get to enjoy how it unfolds. Our boys are now going on 21 and 23 and while all of our 'younger' family travel was fun doing day trips to Hershey, Philly, Boston, DC, NYC (a gazillion times because we live an hour away) the more recent stuff to Cancun for Christmas or Euro travel are a new level of fun. Being a close family with love to share is key. Our 'boys' still want to be around us and do stuff together. Result? We share great restaurants together and have found pairing-off for mutual interests to be a blast. I hope you get to enjoy the same. (PS - they asked if we can rent a house for a week in Wildwood Crest again this year because we missed doing so last year and they wanted us to be together on the beach once again. I think they sense that the impending development of careers and relationships is going to alter our cozy and often get togethers.)
  14. Noah says he doesn't 'knowa what's happening with his future. He doesn't appear to be part of this deal so the mystery remains.
  15. Impressive BIO of winning ways...welcome aboard the Blueshirt train.
  16. Lemieux should remain a Ranger at that price. This team lacks sandpaper without him.
  17. I was on the "keep Kreider" band wagon up until now. Long-term deal? I'm beginning to face the pro$pect of that likelihood and am beginning to see the light differently. I'd definitely agree with keeping him 2-3 years but he won't sign that deal as he begins to look towards the twilight of his career. He's not at that point now, but the 5th, 6th and 7th year of the deal to keep him a Ranger no longer makes sense to me. I'll miss the speed of his game, but as others have pointed out, his speed alone is not piling up 40-50 goal seasons. I'm not convinced that he won't disappear from 110% effort once he gets paid. CK is one of those enigmas that confounds a fan's logic. (Not inferring anything to the poster using 'logic' in the thread.)
  18. Giants already losing before the first snap on a new season. Geez. :banghead:
  19. Just a hunch, and maybe a bad one at that, but I can see Buch giving us 30 goals (28 or 29 sounds better.) Hoping that with the recent Russian invasion, Buch steps up. I know, hope can be a fleeting notion but you gotta' have it as a NYR fan.
  20. Ferrari disaster! VET doesn't even set a time in qualifying and will start last. LEC was up at the top, if not even going for P1 when another gremlin struck -- now he's P10. Pray for rain. Pray for rain. Pray for rain. Anything can happen.
  21. ^Loving the combos from everyone - those would be so much fun to see. How's this for a doomsday line (and they can play anywhere they want 'cause I'm not telling them otherwise:) Cashman - Boogard - Hull
  22. #NJDfail Oh-man, as a fan of that team I would be mortified by that schlocky gimmick. OMG such an embarrassment. And yeah, it sounded like there were only about 15 people in the 'crowd.' Agree too, that NYR-NJD games are going to be fun this year. Plenty to prove on both sides of the river. Ok, now you have me looking into making it to our traditional December game once again... (not sure if that is the schedule this year.)
  23. Germany -- FP2 sees LEC followed by VET then HAM and BOT. Heat seems to help Ferrari but the weather is changing Saturday and Sunday with the possibility of rain coming. That should make things interesting.
