Pete
Seems like a reasonable addition at a reasonable price. Also a chance he'll wind up sitting some games, maybe a call up gets an opportunity or platoon situation with Brodzinski. Phil
Quote SCOUTING REPORT The Grade A pest will do his best to get under an opponent's skin. He is more than willing to punch above his weight class, but he is also a decent defensive forward with some offensive skills that really manifested themselves in the AHL. Can take bad penalties from time to time, and has to make sure he is giving every ounce of effort on every shift in order to stay in the NHL. https://sportsforecaster.com/nhl/p/18450/Sam_Carrick Sound like anyone we knew? RangersIn7
He’s a fine signing for a million bucks as a 12-14th forward. Why 3 years though?
JHS
Well let’s wrap up the offseason right here!! Tyler Pitlick like pick up here. Otherwise known as a Drury special!

It doesn't matter. He makes a million bucks. This contract can be disappeared at the drop of a hat.

Because he makes nothing if you want to put him in the AHL or waive him. It's a little financial security for him and it cost the team nothing.

Sod16
I don't see the need for three years either. If he clears waivers, he goes to the AHL, where, granted he won't be a cap hit but you really just want to be rid of him at that point. Contract goes through age 36. Has played only 240 NHL games through age 32.

Pete
15 minutes ago, siddious said: It's quiet right now, so the complainers only have one thing to complain about. Don't worry, there will be more complaining, about everything, all summer long, into the fall, winter, and next spring too! On a day the Leafs sign the broken body of Tanev to a deal that pays him $4.5 until he's 40, we have "the Rangers always giving guys retirement deals!" for 1M.
