Albatrosss Posted March 19 Posted March 19 i dont care what everyone else thinks but Trouba is missed 2
Ozzy Posted March 19 Posted March 19 I think he's been playing hurt for a while before he went down. His mobility was not very good, and even though he's not exactly greased lightning, it looked like he was behind the play quite often. I think he'll be better when he comes back healthier in a little bit. 1

Valriera Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Trouba is a 6m defenseman earning 2m too much. He’s still a 6m defenseman so ya, he looks good compared to AHL players
Sharpshooter Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Trouba is overpaid and overrated, but yes, still very much missed.

Lol with that said am I the only one who thinks this has been his best season as a ranger and he’s been largely a good player? And that’s coming from someone who couldn’t stand his as recently as last season. Team definitely misses him 1
Sharpshooter Posted March 27 Posted March 27 LOL! Good analogy. Yes, I agree this has been his best season as a Ranger, though. Hopefully it's more of this Trouba for the rest of the time he is here. It will make the contract at least a bit more tolerable.

The Athletic's player card rates him as a $2M defenseman, for whatever that is worth. They value Key almost right at his contract, and Fox at $14M.

We know he has offensive ability but it’s almost squandered here with Fox and miller. His leadership has to count for something too. his contract isn’t his fault.. was coming off a good year and Gordon had no idea how to negotiate
Sharpshooter Posted March 27 Posted March 27 The terms of the contract was probably a factor in Gorton ultimately getting fired. Of course there were other things, but I bet that didn't help.
