Flyers Re-Sign Owen Tippett to 8-Year/$49.6m Extension; $6.2m AAV

Rumor is that it is in the 6-8 year range at an AAV of $6M per season.

 

Following up a 27-goal season with another good year. He has 18 goals in 46 games, which has him on a 32 goal pace. About to turn 25 next month so still young. Good deal for him, as it will take him to age 31-33 when he hits the market again. And good deal for Flyers, who get him in at a very reasonable AAV if he continues on this trajectory.
