Kind of a head scratcher to me. I’m not seeing the plan in Nashville considering the recent buyouts then ink ROR

I guess that has to be it, but still puzzles me a bit.

Really sucks that some quality players are signing for good deals. While at the same time lower quality guys are cashing in. 

 

O'Reilly is making similar money to much lesser players like Gudas and Perry. It's just wrong.

I don’t see the fit from ROR’s side either. Not yet anyway Nashville is not a playoff team right now.
 

But maybe Trotz has a more significant move or two up his sleeve yet.

Loading up tradeable assets. O'Reilly at 4.5 could easily be fit into a contenders cap space with small moves. 

 

Also is a winning guy. Probably really good to have in the locker-room. 

 

But yeah, what's ROR thinking?  Probably could have gotten similar to that from Toronto or any of the contending teams. Meh, maybe Nashville isn't that far from contending.
