So, yeah, this would be a move to a non-contender right now, but presumably a team looking to completely reinvent themselves in the offseason and get back to the palyoffs next year. Sod16 Posted February 22, 2023 Share Posted February 22, 2023 He's something of a de facto UFA, given that if he refused to sign with the team to which he's traded, the team's only alternative would be to sign him to a one year $10m qualifying offer, which wouldn't make much sense.
