Super exciting finish to that game. Messi with a sweet ball forward to help ARG go up 1-0 at halftime. Without a specific team (USA out) to give me angst, the WC has been a fun watch. It was a choke after they got the 1-0 goal, but it’s not like Croatia is a bad team. Got to the final last world cup and have many of the same players this year. They may have the best midfield in the tournament in Brozovic, Modric and Kovacic and a really good goalie. I put $30 on Croatia to advance @ 5.30, so I’m happy lol. When neutral (results don't affect USA), I tend to root for Brazil and Netherlands based on the style of soccer they play. But credit to Croatia and Argentina, deserving winners. Hard to choose a side for me because the storylines are compelling. I’d like to see games won or lost in 90 or OT rather than penalty kicks…although those have been fun to this point.
