Anti-Establishment Songs

Lyrically, thinking about best anti-establishment songs of all time (other than most metal).

Pink Floyd - Another Brick in the Wall, Part 2

Thin Lizzy -Jailbreak

Bob Dylan - Masters of War

Neil Young - Rockin in the Free World

System of a Down - B.Y.O.B

Rage Against the Machine - Killing in the Name

Metallica - Disposable Heroes

Megadeth - Symphony of Destruction

Black Sabbath - War Pigs

Iron Maiden - Run to the Hills

Bob Marley - I Shot the Sheriff

ACDC -Jailbreak

What am I overlooking?

"No Shelter" by Rage Against the Machine comes to mind. Written for the Godzilla soundtrack, and they literally  included these lyrics:

Godzilla, pure mothafuckin' filler
To keep ya eyes off the real killer

Cinema, simulated life, ill drama
Fourth Reich culture, Americana

"Fight the Power" by Public Enemy

"Sunday Bloody Sunday" by U2

"American Idiot" by Green Day

"Rock the Casbah" by The Clash

Also, pretty much the entire catalog of Bad Religion and Anti-Flag.

Check em out. Pretty solid tunes.

Yuppicide and Ramallah are pretty unknown  (though Ramallah is basically another version of late 90s hardcore band Blood for Blood which was very popular). Boysetsfire was pretty popular too and probably should have gotten radio play because the dude can fuckin sing.

I don’t go that “hard”. I’m more of a Pink Floyd & the Dead over Pantera and Megadeath
