What year did you do these for, 2009? 🤣

They had different divisions in 2009.

Why, what's your issue?

Columbus is going to be terrible, they have no center, no shut down D, and no Tortorella.

Philly is a shit show. Clearly the the 2 worst teams.

Now you have NJ and Islanders - will the kids outdo the vets? Nah, not this season.

Everyone has the Penguins/Caps next - but theyll both be old and playing worse hockey this season. I think Backstrom, Oshie and Mantha being healthy will give the Caps the edge, here.

That leaves you with NYR and Carolina on top.

I think you did some crack before you did the Pacific division

which would make more sense, since my Metro was practically identical to the 2021-22 standings, with the exception of less BJs.

That you have four non-playoff teams suddenly making them this year. One of which—New Jersey—that missed last season by 37 points. The Islanders literally did nothing all year. They changed their coach and missed by 13 points. Why are they a playoff team? Columbus I could see making noise and fighting for a wild card. Philly, I can't. That team is a fucking tire fire. They're likely to be among the worst teams in the entire league. They missed last year by 39 points. You think they're 40 points better? Seriously?

I haven't even broached the idea of the Flames in seventh. They're going to be fighting Edmonton all year for the division lead.

So again, what year did you measure these for? It sure doesn't feel like it applies to this coming season.

Not to defend Josh, but I think you misread his predictions.

He predicted Philly 7th in the Metro not in the conference.

yeah, I didn’t predict NJ in the playoffs, but maybe I will, I guess.

did I make new divisions or something? I have Philly as one of the worst teams in the league, that’s 2009??

calgary and Columbus dropping. Other than that, my predictions are pretty blah.

I did notice what you did, but, which Phil might have overlooked.  But also, to be fair, you didn't make any playoff predictions, you listed division standings lol.
