This guy completely overplayed his hand. He's gonna need to sign a one-year deal somewhere, I think, then cash in next summer. Ottawa makes a ton of sense. They need help on RD badly, and a one-year deal won't break anything for them.

If they can dump Hronek, maybe. Klingberg needs ice time and PP to be effective. Seider is their top defender on both fronts. I don't know how effective he'd be there. Ottawa, to me, makes the most sense on a short-term deal. Their right side — Hamonic, Zub, Zaitsev — is trash. He can sign there and immediately be on their top pairing with Chabot, or their second pair with Brannstrom. It's he or Chabot on PP1 opposite DeBrincat. Worst case, PP2 with Stutzle.

The next Taylor Hall? With the cap potentially rising, might be a good move. Run the PP with all the young talents on Anaheim and cash in next summer.
