QUOTE(S) TO NOTE:

“I’m excited,” Gallant said. “I watched the game the other night on TV and it looks like a beautiful building and should be fun to go in there. Any time you see a new building like that, I think the players are looking forward to it.”

— Gerard Gallant, shortly before muttering "if they can keep it half full" under his breath

I was considering going, but my friend did the opener the other night and it’s still pretty disastrous getting out of there after games. Figured I’d let the kinks get worked out before I try and get there. Beside, thanksgiving eve? Rangers in the building? There’s gonna be 509 drunken fights between 21 year olds all night.

Waiting for the kinks to get worked out?  Your wait may be longer than a bathroom line at the Coliseum.

NOTHING was longer than that. I remember going to a game way back in like 2011, I think it was before they headed out to west Canada and right after their trip to Europe when they came into the area for one game while MSG was still being renovated. It was a Saturday night, and I was out there with a ton of people. And one of my friends went to take a piss at the start of the 2nd thinking he had beaten the rush during intermission. He didn’t make it back until there were like 10 minutes left in the period, he came flying up the stairs as the Islanders scored.

All the love that barn got. What a fucking dump. The amount of times I said “fuck it” to those bathroom lines and just went outside and had people block me while I just pissed on the building.

This place is just the internet version of that.

Haha, I’ll take internet brawls over getting into fist fights with Islander fans. I did enough of that in my 20s at the Coliseum.

Besides, I don’t need to give my wife another reason to kick my ass.

You're married now?! Good for you.

Explains why we're both awake. 🤣

You’re married? Wow.  Congrats.  I still think you’re like 20 years old.  Time goes by fast

Haha, I think a lot of people will always think of me like that; especially the people who used to sneak me beers in Cafe 31 when I was like 17, haha.

But yep, turn 32 in a few weeks. Married for 3 years. And still waiting for a Stanley Cup. So that hasn’t changed.

Most of the time when a team is as banged up as the Islanders are, I look at it as a trap game; especially when it’s games between these 2. Usually, when either of these 2 are banged up as the Isles are, it’s smart to lean toward the other way because it’s a trap game personified.

However, the Islanders are severely banged up and missing just about all of their impact players aside from Barzal, the fourth line and their goaltenders.

Anything can happen, but if this game gets played, the Rangers should be in a position to smack this team around for 2 points tonight.
