BlairBettsBlocksEverything Posted July 23, 2021 Posted July 23, 2021 Let’s see what another overpayment today this becomes
RichieNextel305 Posted July 23, 2021 Posted July 23, 2021 If any of the trades today are any type of indication, I’m guessing a 6th rounder next year and a audible picture of John Tortorella screaming at Brooksie.
Drew a Penalty Posted July 23, 2021 Posted July 23, 2021 Chicago doesn't have a defense or goaltender, but word. Feign competitiveness!
siddious Posted July 23, 2021 Posted July 23, 2021 Jones is good but Jesus I hope that’s not what fox gets Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
RichieNextel305 Posted July 23, 2021 Posted July 23, 2021 Apparently Adam Boqvist and a 1st rounder goes to CBJ. Boqvist, a 1st and that extension? Huuuuuuge gamble for Chicago IMO.
Cash or Czech Posted July 23, 2021 Posted July 23, 2021 I believe they said there’s more going back to Columbus. At least one more pick. Zero details are coming out, which is a little odd

BlairBettsBlocksEverything Posted July 23, 2021 Posted July 23, 2021 That’s one way to distract from the other bad press I guess? Some GMs are reallly hell bent on getting themselves fired
Patrick Bateman Posted July 24, 2021 Posted July 24, 2021 Jones is good but Jesus I hope that’s not what fox gets Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Fox is a Norris winner. I would love this contract for him
Keirik Posted July 24, 2021 Posted July 24, 2021 I don’t think that’s too bad money wise. Third NHL contract. Maybe a tad high but I’d love it if Fox waited til 26 for that money lol

Phil Posted July 25, 2021 Author Posted July 25, 2021 Seth Jones had told the Blue Jackets he would only consider signing an extension with either Dallas or Chicago, Slap Shots has learned, so that’s where Columbus focused its efforts on trading the latest player to ask out of Columbus. (Have you thought about an email, JD?) When the Stars dropped out, the Jackets then sent the defenseman to the Blackhawks for a bounty that included Adam Boqvist (perhaps at least an equally effective player), a flip of 2021 first-rounders that elevated the Jackets 20 spots in the order, plus a first-rounder and second-rounder. If Chicago understood its leverage, then GM Stan Bowman surely didn’t use it. Then, to compound the folly, the Blackhawks gave Jones a mind-boggling eight-year deal worth an average value of $9.5 million despite a rather steady decline that included a bottoming-out 2020-21. Good luck on that. https://nypost.com/2021/07/24/devils-pursuing-dougie-hamilton-with-unique-free-agency-pitch/?utm_source=twitter_sitebuttons&utm_medium=site%20buttons&utm_campaign=site%20buttons
