In a week where Dolan reared his ugly head and completely revamped his front office, Leetch moving on makes me think Dolan is going to be very hands on, and Leetch isn't here for it. That far more plausible than saying Leetch is a deadbeat who didn't want to do his job, so he'd rather quit than be held accountable...Mostly because there is nothing that we know (not that we know everything, but we know a lot) about Leetch that would suggest that's even a remote possibility.
