I don't know all of the expansion draft rules, but early in the year, Uncle Larry said that they had to expose a defenseman who played at least 19 games in the NHL this year so they needed to get Bitteto in for 19. He's only got 10 now.

 

I really can’t imagine that being the case. They would just expose Hajek who likely is replaced next year by Jones anyway. Who knows though.

That makes sense. Bitteto played 51 last year, plus 19 would make 70. I think the Rangers will lose a forward, probably Gauthier or Howden. I think they should trade for a genuinely good 4th line center that another team cannot protect and expose both Gauthier and Howden. There must be a number of guys who fall into that category.
