I can definitely see him finishing his career in Russia if Wash doesn't want to sign him. But why wouldn't Washington sign him. This is not a buy out situation, and he probably will sign with the caps for a reasonable amount. He can score a fair number of goals, especially on the PP, while using a walker.

Once Ovie learned to play at both ends of the rink he won me over. Remember those early years of him loafing around the blue line looking for a breakout pass like a spoiled talent on a high school team? Glad he moved past that and became what we all (now) like about his game.
