High and Wide Posted September 22, 2021 Posted September 22, 2021 I'm going to see these guys friday night. They are perfectly funky and trippy. Kind of like Vulfpeck meets Homeshake
Phil Posted September 24, 2021 Author Posted September 24, 2021 Gonna be here all day. @High and Wide 1
SaveByRichter35 Posted September 28, 2021 Posted September 28, 2021 These have been killing it lately for me
SaveByRichter35 Posted February 7, 2022 Posted February 7, 2022 Been hearing this a lot on Octane of late and I am currently addicted to this song
Flynn Posted April 11, 2022 Posted April 11, 2022 Not sure this is the right thread… but I saw Jerry Cantrell last night. Fantastic show, the really cool part was Greg Puciato from Dillinger Escape Plan is the “co-singer” on the tour. I knew he was on Jerry’s last album some, but didn’t realize he was touring. It was about a 60/40 Jerry/AIC set, Puciato fucking killed the Staley parts. It was a killer show. 1
Zuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuc Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 Listening to New York State Of Mind by Nas live the day after the Game 7 win vs Carolina was a vibe. Been a huge Nas fan since I was a kid, finally got to see him live, and it was awesome. 1
Abe Froman Posted June 9, 2022 Posted June 9, 2022 (edited) Cygnus X-1 Book II: Hemispheres by Rush. Edited June 9, 2022 by Crazy Joe
BreakawayMachine Posted July 6, 2023 Posted July 6, 2023 Slaughter To Prevail has become one of my favorite bands. Alex Terrible is a legit animal. Not sure any deathcore fans here.
Phil Posted July 6, 2023 Author Posted July 6, 2023 Welcome, @BreakawayMachine! Great to have you. I can't claim to have listened to Slaughter to Prevail much, but I'm well aware of who Alex Terrible is, and I'm a Lorna Shore fan. Assume similar profile? Got a track or two you'd recommend?

phillyb Posted July 6, 2023 Posted July 6, 2023 I guess I'd consider myself a deathcore fan (I have Pain Remains and Kostolom). Do you collect vinyl by any chance? There's a label out of Missouri (used to be chicago methinks) called Wax Vessel - lots of old deathcore releases coming out of the woodwork. Glass Casket recorded a new 4-song EP @BreakawayMachine 1
BreakawayMachine Posted July 6, 2023 Posted July 6, 2023 I’ll check it out tonight! I have a few vinyl’s but mostly as a fan collector. DevilDriver is actually my fave band of all time so I have all their records on vinyl. And Halloween is my fave movie series so I have all the soundtracks! 1
phillyb Posted August 9, 2023 Posted August 9, 2023 I applied to a music program here in Chicago and had to audition. I sent this video:
SaveByRichter35 Posted August 12, 2023 Posted August 12, 2023 Is your mouth covered in wing sauce at any point during the video?
phillyb Posted August 13, 2023 Posted August 13, 2023 Ha no. And I didn't get into the program I wanted to get into (audition) with that video, so I'm back to the drawing board for spring application.

You probably should have played something that really cooked. Lmao. Good luck. Sounds good and yet odd to be coming from that guitar. 1
Ozzy Posted August 15, 2023 Posted August 15, 2023 Recently got back into the old collection of tunes, and forgot how great these guys were back in the day:

Win262 Posted August 29, 2023 Posted August 29, 2023 Classic country. The real country music. And, good piano music. My grandson who is 18 plays some good Billy Joel.
Albatrosss Posted October 20 Posted October 20 Watching MTV and thinking i grew up on listening Metallica, Megadeth, Ozzy, ACDC, judas Priest, and bunch of hair bands like Bon Jovi, Skid Row, Cindarella, and Van Halen and GnR. I dont see anything resembling these bands in current rock. What would I be listening now? Zach Bryan?
