Phil
Are most of these games actually classics? I feel like every time I flip past this it's just random games from like 2014 and 2015.
Vodka Drunkenski
These are old playoff games. I like it better than the standard recent playoff games or 94 run. Takes me back to my early childhood
Bugg
RE; recent playoff games. Stepan is still holding the puck forever until inevitably he turns it over, and then smiling maniacally like he's higher than fuck or a mental patient.
4EverRangerFrank
The New York Rangers have been in the playoffs a total of 59 times in their 92 seasons means that we have appeared in playoffs 64% of our seasons - that is sweet news on a rainy, windy day. Slobberknocker
i'd rather them pull out the JD run, or any of the rangers/isles series even though we came up on the short end for most of them
ThirtyONE
I honestly don't know a single thing about the Rangers beyond 1994. It's good to see them showing some older games. Team has a long history. Acknowledge that.

4EverRangerFrank
I watched some of the NYR v. NYI playoff game from 1990 earlier today - Richcter in net. Q? Why are these broadcasts so blurry? I understand the 'square' shape of the image but don't get the poor viewing quality. Anybody know?

Assuming that today’s TVs are so much more powerful, the old digital broadcasts were that much worse
4EverRangerFrank
Thanks guys. I don't recall the picture being so poor at the time but I get it. On the other hand, I think with today's technology one can imagine today's TVs being able to process the old signal better and possibly even enhance it for viewing. If that hasn't been done, there seems to be a new business niche for someone capable in the field.

HDTVs are so pixel dense that when non-HD footage comes through it looks even worse than on a standard TV which is what it was shot for. Remember, it's not just the TV... It's the cameras that shot it. there's a difference between a 4K camera and an 8 mm lol.

In the same way Windows 10 can 'run' in Windows 7 or some classic mode I would think today's TV system could do the same thing. There are so many older events that we would like to be able to see clearly.

Put it this way...You could have the best hose nozzle in the world, but if the water pressure coming from your house is shit, it doesn't mean a thing to have a great nozzle.
