josh Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 Wow, think he’d take the Hartford job with promise of taking Ruffs position in a year or two?
Gunnar Stahl Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 As long as the Rangers agree to have a cup of Stanley in the next 2-4 years.
Albatrosss Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 "next on Miami Vice, JD gets Zubov a cup of coffee"
NYR2711 Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 I always liked Zubov and was sad when he was traded. Wouldn’t mind him working with the defense here as well.
RangersIn7 Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 I always liked Zubov and was sad when he was traded. Wouldn’t mind him working with the defense here as well. The Zubov trade signaled the beginning of the decline for those Rangers teams in the 90’s. That trade was atrocious. Zubov had another 12 really high quality seasons. HUGE piece on those great Dallas teams
Ozzy Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 Wow, think he’d take the Hartford job with promise of taking Ruffs position in a year or two? All in time, Grasshoppah!!! I think that's where this is going too. Love to see it!!!
Slobberknocker Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 On Aug. 31, 1995, Pittsburgh traded Luc Robitaille, who had only been a Penguin for one season, along with defender Ulf Samuelsson to New York in exchange for Petr Nedved and Sergei Zubov. The Rangers added snarl on the backend while the Penguins added offensive prowess to theirs. horrible deal and basically done as a result of that physical series (forget the year) where are blue line got man handled by the legion of doom.
Phil Posted June 26, 2019 Author Posted June 26, 2019 Wow, think he’d take the Hartford job with promise of taking Ruffs position in a year or two? I wish he'd take Ruff's position yesterday.

Holy shit, forgot all about Nedved's first tenure with the Rangers. I was 6, but still...lol
siddious Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 Nedveds # should be retired here Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
siddious Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 Im obviously joking .. but he as my favorite player when I was a young kid lol Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
NYR2711 Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 My favorite Nedved moment was when he shot the puck and it hit the camera lenses behind the net, which also leads to my big issue with him, always missing the net.
Mr.wiskers Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 Either we are talking to him about the HC job down in Hartford?he was a HC in the KHL or we are interested in giving him one of those traveling scouting/mentoring jobs we gave Glass, Ruutu and Ortmeyer. Tho? he did get voted into the Hockey Hall of Fame, could also be coordinating a Zubov day in that Garden as well. Sent from my iPad using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk

It?s probably HC in Hartford and then an offer to be asst coach when ruff is gone which I imagine will be soon. Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
Vodka Drunkenski Posted June 27, 2019 Posted June 27, 2019 All Messier's doing. Should?ve traded Messier instead

Slobberknocker Posted June 28, 2019 Posted June 28, 2019 All Messier's doing. im sure he had a hand in it. more because he probably was not a nedved fan.
TwoMinutesForNothing Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 All of these Russians, Zubov would be really useful behind the bench.
Ozzy Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 All of these Russians, Zubov would be really useful behind the bench. I think you're on to something here! =)
Gunnar Stahl Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 I think you're on to something here! =) Dont toy with my emotions  Giving Ruff the boot for Zubov would literally make this the greatest off-season in history.
