Phil Posted August 28, 2018 Posted August 28, 2018 TORONTO -- Tyler Seguin said he is surprised he hasn't yet signed a long-term contract with the Dallas Stars. "I'm disappointed it hasn't happened but there hasn't been negotiations, it's just been training this summer, getting ready for this year," Seguin said at BioSteel Camp in Toronto on Tuesday. "I've still got this last year in Dallas, Dallas is home. I'm looking forward to having a good year and definitely want to win. "Nothing's really going on. Pretty much haven't been talking much this summer." Seguin said he talked with the Stars around the 2018 NHL Draft in June, but there has not been any discussion towards a new contract since. He anticipated being signed to a long-term contract at this point, and playing out the final season on his current contract as a pending unrestricted free agent is not something he has spent much time thinking about. https://www.nhl.com/news/stars-tyler-seguin-disappointed-to-not-have-long-term-contract/c-299881930
Gravesy Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 3 1st round draft picks + Panarin & Seguin as UFA's + Kravtsov, Shesty and Rykov coming over + Chytil, Andersson, Hajek, Howden a year older = WE WANT THE CUP!
Phil Posted August 29, 2018 Author Posted August 29, 2018 Signing Seguin, great as he is, guarantees both Zibanejad and Hayes are gone (or moved to wing), as well as one of Chytil, Anderson, or Howden getting locked out. Too many centers. Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
josh Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 None of those guys have shown enough to be worried about having too many centers.
Giacomin Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 None of those guys have shown enough to be worried about having too many centers. What did you show at 19, besides flashing the fat girl at that party? BTW, Chytil is still 18.
LONG LONG LONG TIME FAN Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Oh the poor, poor guy. Me, Me, Me. I didn't get a long term deal yet. Waa, was, waa! I ONLY make in excess of $5 mil. per and I'm unhappy @ this point. Leave the NHL and get a real job that pays by the hour. Go Rangers!!
josh Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 a lot more potential than I do now! dont count your chicks before they hatch
jjweimar Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 I still find it hard to believe he makes it to FA he loves Dallas and think he'll take a little less to stay Sent from my [device_name] using http://Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk

Giacomin Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 a lot more potential than I do now! dont count your chicks before they hatch Don't count your geriatric self out, there is still time. If by chicks you mean young C's and not ladies, I'm with you. I'm all for hoarding C's. Give me 3 natural wingers, a couple of true snipers, and the rest can be centermen. We can worry about the glut of too many good C's next year, while 10 other teams lament no having enough of em. It is the best way to be able to add a #1 RHD anyway. Seth Jones anyone?
Phil Posted August 31, 2018 Author Posted August 31, 2018 Karlsson helps them where they need it most, followed closely by Panarin. Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
Stephen Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 So would I. Karlsson makes a team better when he is there. Mainly because he is a two-way defenseman and his outlet passing better than anyone in the League.
Phil Posted August 31, 2018 Author Posted August 31, 2018 Karlsson, even on one and a half ankles, is like sixteen times better in all three zones than any other defenseman on the team currently. Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk

I also know you were being sarcastic but the theme is accurate.
Vodka Drunkenski Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 I don?t care for Karlsson, Seguin or Panarin right now. We aren?t built for these type of moves now. Stay the course
LONG LONG LONG TIME FAN Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 Kit Carson is damaged goods, plain & simple. No thanx!! Go Rangers!!
