Shane Falco Posted March 10, 2018 Posted March 10, 2018 Marchand at it again. It’s all over twitter, can someone post it ? You referring to this?
Mike Posted March 10, 2018 Author Posted March 10, 2018 You referring to this? I don’t know who the fuck Pete Blackburn is, but yes.
Zuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuc Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 what the hell is he even doing? That fucker never learns.
LONG LONG LONG TIME FAN Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 Will he be an UFA? If so, sign him up!!
phillyb Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 Will he be an UFA? If so, sign him up!! I believe you're being facetious, but the Nose is locked up for 7 years after this one at 6.125m and if you ask me, that's a fucking great signing by Boston.
LONG LONG LONG TIME FAN Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 Simply making a point about what is lacking on the NYR.
Mike Posted March 12, 2018 Author Posted March 12, 2018 Funny how Marchand had an “upper body injury” and sat out yesterday in the 2nd game of a home and home vs. Chicago.
Phil Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 Simply making a point about what is lacking on the NYR. The Rangers best hope to land someone like him is to draft Brady Tkachuk in the coming draft.
Future Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 Why would we want Marchand. He's a scumbag, not someone you root for. I'd rather lose 80 games a season than watch a roster full of cheap shot artists.
Phil Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 Not a roster full. Just one or two. LOL Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk

Dunny Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 Yeah, I'll take Marchand seven days a wekk, this is hockey
Phil Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 Whatever, 1 is too many. Zero is too few. Rather tame a tiger than paint stripes on a kitty cat. Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
Future Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 Why would you want to root for a player who actively goes out of his way to injure other players? I like guys who are physical and play on the edge, I have 0 patience for guys who actively look to injure others.
Future Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 Yeah, I'll take Marchand seven days a wekk, this is hockey Yea, it's hockey, not WWE. That's kind of my point - the shit he does is way outside of hockey.

I'd be rooting for the coaching staff and organization to tame him to walk the line and cross it only occasionally. Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk

Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk "only occasionally" slewfoot another player. Ok. Players should never be crossing the line. They're grown ass men. For someone who wants to grow the NHL brand and better market players, you, of all people, should be totally against Marchand.
Phil Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 And as someone who has watched other leagues and sports/entertainment properties reach marketing prominence by selling villainy, I want the NHL to follow suit. Conor McGregor. Dennis Rodman. Brock Lesnar. John McEnroe. Mike Tyson. Being a villain doesn't have to disqualify someone from being in the conversation about the best the sport has to offer. Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk Fine - even though I think comparing the NHL to fight sports is a huge reach, especially since neither the UFC or boxing are growing. The NBA and NFL avoid marketing these guys like the plague. But Marchand isn't a villain. He's a coward, a cheap shot artist who tries to injure opponents. He's poison. His persona on the ice is exactly the same as Matt Cooke, the only difference is that the NHL is scared to do anything.

Phil Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 Bingo. And that's what makes him so marketable IMO. With the caveat of trying to get this to happen less often, not more. Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
