He never actually signed with the Rangers. He signed with the Pack in 2011-2012, and then signed his ELC with Columbus after that season. Pretty dominant in the AHL for four years and didn't crack the NHL full time until he was 25/26 with the Panthers last year...

Marchessault signs six-year, $30 million contract with Golden Knights

 

Forward Jonathan Marchessault signed a six-year, $30 million contract with the Vegas Golden Knights on Wednesday.

 

The 27-year-old could have become an unrestricted free agent July 1. The contract has an average annual value of $5 million.
