Vodka Drunkenski Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 Great read, love these things. Thanks #MakeBSBHGreatAgain
phillyb Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 I will never get tired of reading these. They're always incredible.
paddynyc Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Love the Shanahan and Roy clash looked like wrestling and great read
Phil Posted March 17, 2017 Posted March 17, 2017 There's a part of me that will never not love what hockey was back then, especially at its height, which I would argue Wings/Avs, Draper/Lemieux was.
Blue Heaven Posted March 17, 2017 Author Posted March 17, 2017 I think this article was the best one that I have read on hockey. I didn't realize that the Wings were the team that lit up Roy in MTL and walked off the ice. I remember the game since I was up in Plattsburgh watching it when it happened. Huge talk in the north country on how that game played out. I wonder if he wasn't traded to the Avs a few days later that the brawl wouldn't have been as big.
Valriera Posted April 6, 2017 Posted April 6, 2017 Bump because I finally got around to reading this article and echo the sentiments above: this is an epic retelling of an epic rivalry, an epic fight, and an epic moment of Detroit legend. Must read 100%, and might I say, it's super well written by Kris Draper.
