Fuhgeddaboudit
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1553656/ http://i.huffpost.com/gen/1166147/thumbs/r-UNDER-THE-DOME-TV-large570.jpg?6 Luckily, the premiere speaks for itself, offering a gripping, handsomely-produced hour laden with mystery, a slew of creative (and disgusting) special effects, and a number of intriguingly ambiguous characters, lead by "Breaking Bad's" Dean Norris, "Pan Am's" Mike Vogel and "Twilight's" Rachelle Lefevre. The show revolves around the fictional town of Chester's Mill, and explores what happens to its inhabitants after an impenetrable dome of unknown origin cuts them off from the rest of the world. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=StdpKu50sZg&feature=player_embedded

Fuhgeddaboudit
I don't know, but Stephen King adaptations have been whatever. I think with a show like this on CBS will give them more time to develop characters like his books. The trailers look pretty awesome... I just can't wait to watch it because it's based on a King book.

Fuhgeddaboudit
?Que? They have been whatever according to the public. I never really watched the adaptive shows. I heard Haven was one and Talisman is another that were bad.
Dave
There have been so many adaptations of his books and stories that you can't simply say they're good or bad as a group. The Shawshank Redemption is one of the greatest movies of all time. Among the other best adaptations are The Shining, The Green Mile, Stand by Me, Misery, The Stand, The Dead Zone, It and the Mist. Some of the worst (not counting spinoff sequels like Children of the Corn 666) were Thinner, Sleepwalkers, Maximum Overdrive and Firestarter. And there were a bunch of OK ones as well. All of the movies that were bad seemed like the books that didn;t seem likely to have a movie. I didn't watch many of the movies, so that's why I don't know first-hand. The book did come out after the Simpson movie though.
Ranger Lothbrok
Well yeah, I wasn't trying to imply that he pirated an idea from The Simpsons. Rather I was just pointing out that the same idea was used in a comedic sense.

I don't think anything is original today anyway haha
