You brought up Bill Cosby in a hockey thread about a player being yelled at by his GM.  Even still you see no reason to have any clear thought to say you know what yes I was being ridiculous.  Instead you defend your words and push a bullying narrative you have absolutely zero proof of.  It's this kind of keyboard warrior shit that is so toxic.  You are talking about a human being right now.  You are throwing around accusations at someone with zero proof.  Says a lot about you actually.

Again, you seem to have trouble reading.  You are jumping to points that aren't there.  I did not throw around an accusation.  I posed my thoughts as theory and speculation and never said anything in an absolute manner.  I believe even used the word "allegedly".  I'm perfectly free to suggest those things as this is a message board used for discussion and differing opinions.  I accept all opinions and will gladly debate them, yet you are the one saying I shouldn't say anything else here.  That's closed minded and condescending.

You see the thing about people is that they tend to not want to hear other people's opinions, they really just want to hear their own opinions coming out of other people's mouths.  I don't know you, but that seems to fit you.  So thanks, but I don't need you to tell me what I should or shouldn't say or what discussions on here I should or should not partake in.  You don't agree with me, then fine debate me, but don't tell me what I should think.

Saying negative things about Drury is not out of left field when you consider it is based on Lias and his father saying he was bullied by the organization in Hartford and there seemingly being more to what went on with Krav that is not yet public according to Staple.  There pretty clearly seems to be what may be proof that Drury bullied a player based on what was said about his phone "blowing up."  If those individuals didn't feel it was off base then I doubt they would have felt the need to "blow up" his phone and I doubt Staple would have called it a "shame."

And I don't feel bad about using Cosby as analogy.  I don't find it too harsh or think hyperbole should be thrown into question by mods when I've seen many instances of cancer or aids being used in numerous hockey analogies from the staff and creators, Phil especially, over the years.

Nah, using Bill Cosby who drugged and raped women for 40 years as an analogy "anything can lurk behind closed doors" realted to a sports exec/player yelling at other players is way off base.

I'm not comparing those two things.  If you're making that comparison then you are inferring it.  I'm not implying it. The drastic nature of what happened with Cosby simply illustrates the point in more powerful way.  Why use something weak to illustrate a point?  It won't resonate as much.  The fact that people are still talking about it days later means it has done its job.

Yes it's hyperbole, that's the whole point.  It is useful and it hammers home the point.  Drury and Cosby's situations are not similar and I never said they were.  But it illustrates that a public figure may have a differing persona in the public eye from what they have in their private life.  What better way to illustrate that, then an extreme example?

#comparing Drury to Bill Cosby, you should probably stop posting about this

Reading comprehension is important.  Never compared Drury to Bill Cosby.  I used Cosby's situation as an analogy to illustrate the point that just because someone appears to be something based on public persona, it doesn't mean they are.  Other truths can be lurking behind closed doors.  In what way did I say Drury and Cosby are similar or have anything in common?  Precisely none.

    15. Constant Krav-ing: Which brings us to Kravtsov. It can be, and is, true that the kid deserves some onus here. There is truth that he was told to go down and work on the conditioning that he lost with a preseason injury and to work his way back up to the NHL. All true. But if you saw Arthur Staple’s story in The Athletic the other day, well, there was a ton of truth in that, too. And in fact, very solid sources were blowing up my phone to say that the events of October 2019 were even uglier than they were described in that story. What a shame for and by all involved.

You realize there's a nuanced difference between a reporter having well placed sources and the team leaking info on purpose. If that were the case, why would they leave the part in about Drury yelling at ... Wait, sorry now we're dramatizing it as "bullying" ... Kravtsov?

As far as this storyline being pushed about the Rangers not liking Euros...I dunno...tough sell there when the proof points go back 20 years of management. I haven't heard Lundqvist, Zibenejad, Buch, Panarin, Chytil, Lundkvist, etc complain about the way they've been treated.

Like if the Rangers hate Euros and Russians, why do they keep picking them with high picks?

Drury hasn't yet.  5 North Americans in the first 4 rounds.  We'll wait and see how he drafts next year.

Yeah because he didn't have a NHL career or anything.  Might as well cherry pick though.  People here are coming to the conclusion that Drury is a bully or some kind of unhinged lunatic running around in the guise of a GM.  That he came up with a conspiracy to get both Gorton and JD fired so he could unleash his masterplan to prey on the Rangers foreign youth because he has a special hatred for Euros.  That is what is being speculated here and I'm the one that is out of line talking about his history dating back to little league.  A history that in every regard is a sterling record as a human and leader.  That says nothing of being a GM you're right but it does speak to his character that people here unfairly and irresponsibly  speculate about.

You met him?  You know him?  Bill Cosby had a sterling reputation at one point.

Keith Olberman talking about people being out of their mind.  Talk about pot meeting kettle.

Part of nurturing a player would be instilling in the player a work ethic if he doesn't have one.  To coddle or excuse a young player who doesn't want to work is ridiculous.  That player will never work out anyway.  It seems to me that VK was told for 2 years at least to put in the work and each time he had a tantrum.  So yeah watching a kid waste away his talent may result in a last ditch effort to get through to him.  It all goes back to the entitled lazy player.  To come to the conclusion that Drury is now Buddy Revel from 3 o'clock high is completely unfair and typical internet speculation.  Drury has a history in this league and in the spotlight, going all the way back to little league.  There has never been any report that he's not a great person or teammate.  In fact his greatest asset as a player was exactly the intangible of him being a leader.

If Messier dressed down VK everyone here would be all for it not questioning if he was a bully

We're using his little league career to defend him now?

If Messier was GM he wouldn't know what he was doing either.  There is a difference between a captain and a GM.  The failure to identify that seems to be a very large part of the problem here.

  8. Was this ever discussed here?  This is who is in charge here.  He is a piece of shit and he is also an absolute idiot. It took an idiot like Dolan to give him the reigns.  He had always stayed out of things with the Rangers, but we are now officially the Knicks.

I say this with all seriousness, and fully aware that Chris Drury ran a fantastic campaign to undermine John Davidson and Jeff Gorton and get Dolan to fire him: Drury is out of his fucking mind. He is the Brodie Van Wagenen of #NYRNHLTeam_2021_NYR.png and must be exorcised immediately.
  9. We never got all of the details on what went on with Andersson, but he made it clear he was bullied in Hartford.  Then his father came out and said he would never let his son play for the Rangers organization again.  What players would bully him?  Would players, who are temporary, cause him to say he'd want out of the whole organization?  Or would it make more sense if it was a more permanent part of the org that made him feel this way?  Speculation, but chances are that was Drury as well.

Perhaps he has some preconceived notion about Euros being soft and goes out of his way to prove his own narrative.  It certainly fits with the rest of his moves and decisions.  Buchnevich out, hard nosed Blais in.

These are children at this point.  Sorry some are not as mentally tough as we'd prefer right now, but they are 18, 19, 20 years old.  It is the job of the organization to nurture and grow them into what they need to be and it is imperative to recognize that for some, tough love may not be the answer.  Players respond differently to different handling.  That's two top 10 picks thrown away because they felt so strongly about how they were treated by the people at the top of our org.  We screwed it up.  That is a very back look.

Because he wants out. And he's quit twice.

Well he watched guys like Howden, Kakko, and Laf have their chances handed to them regardless of performance or conditioning level.  He was a top 10 pick as well, yet was treated differently and then bullied by the GM in Hartford after moving from Russia to play in the NHL after allegedly being told by Bobrov that he had his spot on the big club.  Now he's cut again before camp after the coach seemingly said he deserved to be here and he was left off the prospect tournament team because he was apparently not a prospect anymore.  I really can't blame, though I don't agree with leaving and wish he stayed.

  11. It becomes more clear every day that the organization is not in good hands.  I've been saying it for months, but I don't have much hope of winning or success until the next purge occurs in the front office.  Hopefully they don't screw things up too badly before then.   I don't think Gallant is a good coach, but he doesn't seem to have much to do with this.  Already made it clear roster decisions are not up to him.
