  1. The Knicks are on the right track if they play their cards right. They need a couple more years to accrue picks and shed dead salary, but I fear they are going to overpay someone to come here, like they did with Amare Stoudemire, and it wont be near enough to compete. It will just set them back even more. I also dont think Porzingis is a max player but the Knicks will make him one
  2. I don't mind rebuilds, but man it's tough when it stretches across 3 teams at the same time (Giants, Rangers, Knicks). What a bunch of SUCK.
  3. Flowers ruined the entire game. Killed the entire first drive of the game and put us in a terrible spot field position wise. Terrific way to start the season. Then he got beat terribly on the pick six play which is why it was a pick six. Got beaten terribly on the 4th & 6 on the last drive of the game. Yes, there were a few drops that should have been catches, but on any important play of the game it was Flowers who stuck out like a sore thumb. They had to babysit his side of the line almost all game with an extra blocker. The guy should be nowhere near an NFL roster. He's slow and gets beaten on edge rushes all game long. His footwork is terrible. He could possibly play at Guard, but he is incapable of playing Tackle.
  4. This is what I would do. I don't think there's a reason at all to tell them a number, but I think it might be worth it to mention that the other offer is "a good offer". In not so many words, I think that lets job 2 know that if they do in fact want to make an offer, make a strong one.
  5. People who harp on people who say we when referring to the team they root for. Don't have an issue with that. But agreed on calling players by first name...that's just weird. Can't say I've seen the position prefacing the player's name before, but I would consider that odd too.
  6. People telling me the same story more than once on different occasions...and not the kind of stories that are "reminiscent of good times"...no, the kind of story that A) didn't involve you and/or B) is a boring story. For whatever reason they think it's a great story so they tell everyone they know. Since they've told it so many times they seemingly forget who they have told the story to, and wind up telling it multiple times to the same people.
  7. Gladiator Catch Me If You Can Truman Show Pirates of the Caribbean (just about any)
  8. Shawshank Batmans (with Christian Bale) Departed Ace Ventura Lord of the rings/hobbit Home alones (around christmas time) Inglorious basterds
  9. Haven't checked this whole thread, but I have been listening to Parkway Drive:
  10. Barkley baby! Forget the QB pick out of a hat and hope not a bust... Barkley's legit. Easy pick. Great job Gettleman.
  11. Drafting Nelson is the best pick the Giants could make IF the goal is to field the best team for Eli's last year or two. He fills the most immediate need. I think that would be a mistake to use the #2 pick for that reason though. A trade down makes much more sense going that route.
  12. The best thing the Giants could do is work out a trade with the Bills....say the #2 for #12, #22, 2nd, 3rd. Then spin around and trade the #12, 2nd, 3rd to move up to ~7-8 spot IF either Bradley Chubb or Quentin Nelson are available still. Giants would have a guy that would have been worthy of a #2 pick, but would have the #22 in the 1st as well. It would be a serious miscalculation not to cut a deal with Buffalo, who has to be beyond desperate to move up for a QB.
  13. I love the show, but I am already dreading the wait to see the series finale. It's almost pointless to watch 6 episodes or however few it is going to be this season.
  14. I think this show will die without Ehrlich. I also felt like the show was solid this season but a little bit of a decline from the first 3.
