  1. DeAngelo lookin a little bit psycho. Not sure if good for him or bad. Prob bad since he’s getting his ass whooped
  2. Get fucked Domi NGL it might have been a tad high. Can’t wait to have it broken down continuously over the next 24 hours
  3. Lindgren probably has every injury known to man right now. Can’t say I’ve seen him being overly physical like he normally is after G1 against Pitt, so that sounds about right.
  4. It’s not because of one hit. I already posted his elevated hit count. The rate is 5x his regular season rate. I mean I’ve seen no hesitation to get involved when things get a little chippy on his part. You know who doesn’t lay out little Jesper Fast given that opportunity? At least half the roster lol It would be nice if his faceoff ability was better, but I’m not sure why you would label it a compete thing. Maybe he just sucks at it? Lol.
  5. The issue I have with Copp as a replacement is that for a roomful of guys where there’s accusations of not enough leadership, I get no indication he brings leadership. He appears to me to be a very shy and soft spoken dude. He’s always kind of looking downwards, etc. There’s nothing wrong with that, but when comparing with Stromer, who has good leadership qualities and is vocal/personable/etc., it’s not something that should go unnoticed. A guy like Drury I am sure notices that. I think Strome is Drury’s preference, and he has been full court press on squeezing the price down through the media. I will also add that I have seen Strome’s compete level raise more in the playoffs than Copp’s. Both are struggling production wise in this Carolina series because Panarin is the guy who the line is revolved around and he has the puck on his stick most of the time - by design as it should be. Everyone knows he’s not doing much good at the moment and it’s tanking the line. It would be nice to see Strome and/or Copp step up and to take a little more initiative with the puck while Panarin is slumping and commanding a lot of attention.
  6. Is Scheifele worth losing one of Strome/Copp + the amount of stuff you lose to get him in trade? Say Strome/Copp, Chytil, Lundkvist, 1st?
  7. This made me go back and re-watch the hit. Not a chance. It was a clean hard hit in the middle of a puck battle. It’s at 24 minutes on the ESPN+ replay of the game for those that have it.
  8. There was a couple of games he looked fine on the kid line in the Pittsburgh series. Been junk since imo. Shies away from contact all of the time. Doesn’t chase down pucks. Doesn’t produce. He’s Dryden Hunt production-wise without the energy
  9. Seeing the same. A lot of claims the Canes dominated the Rangers last game. I didn’t see it that way. They had a small advantage in chances, but nothing egregious especially considering the Rangers best player is in net.
  10. Strome has elevated his physical play a lot in the playoffs. I forgot who it was last game, I think Fast, Strome absolutely barreled over him. Fast got pissy about it. It’s good to see. 2.6 hits/game in the playoffs. .55 hits/game in the regular season this year. Has more than half his yearly total in 10 games. Wild. He’s not afraid anymore to get involved in scrums. He showed he was willing to answer the bell physically if required after the Tom Wilson shit. No doubt he plays a safer game in the regular season, but the fact he amps it up physically when it gets tougher means a lot moving forward. He’s getting slammed all over Rangersland it seems. Some of it is deserved as he has never really improved at faceoffs, sometimes yips away gimmes (hey so do Kreider and Kakko apparently), etc., but hard to question the guy’s heart when the competition is raised.
  11. Could have been a potential option for the Rangers at that price, but it’s fine. We have Nemeth.
  12. I get it. Worry about next year when this year is actually over. But let’s not kid ourselves that we won’t be worse off on paper going into next year than we are right now without quite a few significant things going our way. This kinda feels like a one time stab this year, followed by one year regression, followed by a serious return to the fold in ‘23-24 when there’s some cap manueveability again. Whatever happens, I’ve enjoyed this run immensely. Beating the Pens was critical in my view because it was a team they should beat. Now the Rangers should have zero shame if they lose to any of the remaining teams. Zero. They are all excellent teams left and the Rangers should feel proud being amongst them right now. They are not looking terribly out of place either, which makes it even better.
