Ovechkin probably is back next season to chase the white whale of Gretzky's goal record. But he has the same look of Messier at the end. He's one of the greatest players ever, and this isn't how anyone should go out. But between the $ he's get paid, the Caps wanting to fill seats for the milestone and the hope Backstrom can come back and be productive, he will be back.
