"We started turning those pucks over at the blue line. We started defending in our D zone instead of playing. We started giving them time like we're killing a penalty. When you let them go D to D and get pucks to the net and win them battles, you're not going to beat that team. We just looked like we lost our legs for some reason."

QUOTE(S) TO NOTE:
“I think a good start obviously helps. You come out strong and it helps feed you and helps you the whole game. I just think we played smart. Obviously, the second period was maybe a little more run-and-gun than we would’ve liked, but you get pucks behind them and we have played who can play well in the offensive zone. Once we’re there, we have success.
“And, you know, when you get saves from Igor it’s always a helpful thing.”

Oh he totally wants to do a sequel movie.
That said, I take back what I said about not learning anything new. Totally shocker was that
That would be phenomenal. Though there is enough set-up for a miniseries at least.
And
SpoilerI kinda knew when he got slighted at the funeral, but it still stung seeing the confirmation after.

I just finished it. I liked it overall. The plot was very loose but I think it worked well in the sense that the movie was about Dickie Moltisanti and a precursor of how things came to be. I thought Vera Farmiga did a good job as Liv, but Jon Berenthal wasn't as lively as I was expecting Johnny Soprano to be. Given the way it was put together by a bunch of vignettes, I think it would have been better served to cover more than just the brief glimpse into Tony's hero. Given the talents of Farmiga and Berenthal, and the guy who played Junior, I feel like we could have used more of them.
That said, the introduction of Harold makes me think Chase is going to be toying with the idea of a prequel series, following simultaneously his track, but also how Tony, Paulie, Pussy, and Sil came to be together. The movie felt like a taste of something that's yet to come.

The Winnipeg Jets and the Montreal Canadiens have never faced off against each other in the playoffs, in either of Winnipeg's stints in the league. The Winnipeg Jets are 16-23 in playoff appearances since moving from Atlanta. The Montreal Canadiens are 431-315 all-time in playoff matches. The Jets have made the playoffs each of the past four seasons, advancing to the conference finals in 2018, but losing to the Vegas Golden Knights. The Canadiens last made the playoffs in each of the past two seasons.[/td]

Both the Jets and Canadiens pulled off massive upsets in the first round against the Oilers and Maple Leafs respectively. While both teams enjoyed underdog status in the first round, the Jets are heavily favoured against the Canadiens.

Who would the Tony Romo of hockey be? Guy that had a decent career, can read the game incredibly well, and communicate it to the audience in a fun and enjoyable manner? Certainly isn't Gretzky.
He and Theissman were the only two that came to mind. Maybe Phil Esposito? But he has personality.
-
Spoken like someone who believes they can get away with murder. Why even bother calling Panarin if you are going to publicly state that you feel like it was a routine scrum? If he had any remorse, or if he had taken the conversation with Panarin to heart in any way, the wording would have been different("It was an unfortunate incident"etc.). It also gives me the idea that no one from the league spoke to him about the incident.
-
Yep, it's very unfortunate. Athletic has a stable of great writers and great writing. It'll be a shame to see that quality decrease.
Still wish the Rangers had a better writer though.
I don't hate Carp, but he doesn't exactly draw me in. I subscribed before him, because I knew the initial group was going to cover the league well enough, but Carp is adequate. He just doesn't fit with the rest of the group though, just like Brooks wouldn't fit in. It's too old school.
