I mean...it does translate to that. But I'm not sure what that really means. It won't get a coach suspended or anything. Plus we won, swept the season series, kicked their ass in the fights, and basically ended their fledgling postseason hopes all on national TV  so I'm not sure what else we need from the game.

Just so he gets what he deserves after all his whining.

As I said. If the shoe is on the other foot, and the Rangers line up Rempe to start a game (on the road), purposely (Green admits that here) in anticipation of starting a reaction/ fight/brawl, I think either Laviolette or the Rangers get fined for premeditated intent.

Maybe that's just a wild thought, but IMO the Rangers seem to constantly be on the wrong side of player safety good graces. Hence a game or 2 too many on Rempes suspension.  They want to send a lesson to the Rangers and Rempe for his careless actions.  But purposely setting up a line brawl to start the game is OK? Perhaps now I'm the one whining.  LOL.

IDK.  I guess it's the same as players setting up their staged fights in warm-ups. Something I thought everyone thought was stupid and uncalled for.

No chance in hell they had a clue that was the case. If they did, neither D (for either club) would have fought.

And couldn't agree more re: fan favorite and the way Rempe speaks. It reminds me of the shit Erik Reitz was trying to tell the NY media after he was acquired, but Reitz sucked and had none of the intangible appeal of Rempe..

Lmao I barely remember the name,  so I don't remember what Reitz had said to the media. He indeed sucked though. Probably worse than Purinton.

Kid has the best attitude. Love it. Especially after reading what @Ozzy posted. The desire to be better and to know his limitations.

  3. Gotta think the players were not aware of the ejection rule.

And not to nit pick, Rempe was sizing up MacDermid before the puck even dropped and before the Vesey fight started.  Is the drop of the gloves the official start of a fight?  Everyone knew Rempe and Macdermid was the main event and was happening.

Rempe is a breathe of fresh air in honesty about his feelings and what he's encountering in his ride to being a Ranger fan favorite.

Hopefully the NHL sees it that way too. He's not trash talking. He's not denying what he's done. He's just amped up to be in this situation, as it really came out of nowhere.

Penguins are just about done, they lose tonight they are toast.  Plus they have just about the toughest schedule down the stretch.

@ Caps, Lightning, @ Leafs, Wings, Bruins, Predators, @ Islanders

They beat the Rangers. No reason they can't beat all of those teams.

    Hope you're right though.

  5. I want no part of Pittsburgh. The league will try to push Crosby through extra hard, knowing that core is on life support. The favoritism by the refs will put the Rangers down in an absolute tilting of the ice in Pittsburghs favor.

And obviously Tampa as they seem to have the Rangers number and are red hot right now.

Laf is a bust and Quick is finished.

    Oops. lol

I was going to make a "walk it back" thread earlier in the season,  but I didn't want to jinx what was turning into 2 very good things.

I was loud about giving up on Lafrenière. I deemed Quick absolutely cooked. Holy shit what a turn around for both.

With Lafrenière,  I feel that his conditioning was a huge problem. We no longer see him gassed and almost dying after shifts. He's got way more jump.

Most importantly,  he knows what the coach wants him to do. He has a place and it's not to be the face of the organization right away. I don't think he handled the pressure of being a 1OA very well,  due to lack of direction as well as maybe a lack of taking the league seriously to start.

I'm very happy he has turned into a top 6 player. He's becoming a difference maker. If he's riding Panarins coat tails or not (I'm not saying he is), I don't care. He works. He fits. He's part of the Rangers TOP line and one of the league's TOP lines. That line has absolutely carried this team. The kid switched positions and got better!
