  1. Since he died today and I personally didn't even know he existed or that he once played for the Rangers. Vic Howe, brother of some dude named Gordie. 33 games for us over a few year period in the 50s

  2. For those of you from the old board who knew Tom (scarsthatsmile), today is the 4th anniversary of his passing. Take a moment to reflect on what a great poster, and more importantly, great human being he was. I'll always be thankful to that board for putting me in contact with Tom who went on to become one of my best friends.

Here's to you, buddy. Breathe Easy T-Neva

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Niko again.

  3. lol good times good times. One of my coworkers, who also plays soccer with me, sometimes gets partnered up with me in the one car that isn't solo in my command. If it's the day after we played a game and he had wings and beer afterwards, god help me in the car. I'd rather walk a foot post for 12 hours lol
  4. Taking a crap at my work is a pain in the ass. Besides all teh god damn equipment i have to doff, I have to look for a police booth that's scattered all over the place or go to a firehouse and all that. Nevermind the times the radio is raising me for an assignment when im knee deep in it. Pain in the balls lol.
  5. Well I watched Overbay, Nix and Wells everyday for a long time too. Can't say I blame ya.

Lol, and i get the other point about the games going on. I do still put it on because it's that one nice summer comfort that there always is a game on. I just lost some of the passion right now for it and this is coming from someone like me who knows a ton of baseball stats off the top of my head, read a ton of historical books, even watched tons of historical games and really know my baseball. I just can't get into it though last few years.

  6. Oh wow, that sucks. Its nice starting and ending at our command. We used to flip lockers, but now everyone complains. We had one guy who kept screwing over other cops, so someone went to the hospital and got the stuff to make a cast and wrapped his lock in it while he was on vacation. He came back and couldnt figure out why someone did this at firt, unti; everyone filled him in. He never screwed anyone over again.

It's good and bad. If i'm at a post that is 10 miles east of the precinct though and I live out east, i'm very happy to not have to drive that extra 10 miles lol

  7. That would be reason to flip a locker. We had a guy that worked midnights that always used to take keys home, and then he would never answer his phone when you called him. We found a bunch of old key one day ad glued them all over his locker. We have 1 car that barely blows out cold air, and we just got a brand new Impala, and that thing gets so cold that you have to turn the air down to low, its great in this heat, and of course that was the car this bitch had. No one in my unit likes her, so I know the midnight guys are going to rip into her when she comes in.

lol what sucks is that we don't have lockers in Nassau so can't really confront a person or turn over their locker. No one ever goes back to the command unless their post happens to be the area covering the actual precinct. No daily turnout or roll call or whatever you guys call it.

  8. This, I am dying in this heat. My vest at work was so soaked with sweat that the next day I went into work, it was still soaked. The worst part was that yesterday the dumb cunt who works days took the keys home to the new car, and that has the best A/C. We were pissed.

LOl, someone did that in my command the other day. Took the keys home to the RMP so the day op had to take out the last spare car we had. 3 hours later someone's car was overheating so the guy had no spare to use. Had to drive around patrol in 95 degrees on with the heat on full blast. Poor bastard.
