I personally have the utmost confidence that this team plays differently in May and June than it does in February. What we've taken from the last two years in my opinion is that the only thing really missing was a kick in the ass when they try to play a bit lazy. We didn't accidentally end up with 55 wins. Whatever nerves might have been there I think were shaken off during our playoff "warmup" against Washington. Believe.

All i know is, why not us? I don't want to hear about the Hurricanes when we've been kicking their ass for years and they can't even fill an arena without our fans. I get that they have made some additions, but so what? We have been waiting for this moment just as long, if not longer, and have been largely a sleeping giant all year while winning the Presidents Trophy. We have a Vezina winner, a Norris winner, a Hart candidate, experience, youth, special teams,and pretty much every bit of depth you could ask for. And we have a home ice advantage in both buildings.

We are kicking their asses and it starts right during game 1.

i could see Seattle making a play as well. I believe they are looking to spend a little this coming offseason and look for a top 6 player. 

3-2. I'm not going to say the Canes are garbage since they aren't but man o man they aren't exactly impressing me too much. 2 goals against on 10 shots.

I think it all depends on how all the other series play out. I don't remember thr NHL really starting a round before an earlier round is over. Last year they announced the 2nd round may 1st I believe so maybe more info by mid week.
