Got home last night around 1am. Went to bed around 330 or so. Woke up at 6am, sounded like i had left the water running in the bathroom. Take one step on the carpet and squish squish. Turns out the laundry room ruptured a hose next to the bathroom so the hallway and everything was flooded. Spent from 6am until about 1pm tearing up carpet, repairing said hose, cutting new carpet, etc.

I'm on 2.55 hours of sleep. Rag order today. Absolutely miserable

my dinner. Made homemade chili today with onion, carrot, andoullie, chorizo, beef, black bean, green chilies, jalepenos, diced tomatoes, simmered for 3 hours. Secret ingedients are cinnamon and masa. Adds depth and thickens it up a bit.

my block is underwater right now literally. The water is 3 feet deep on my whole block. It's hilarious. People's garbage cans are floating down the street lol

monsooning out here in long island, lol. Hope my house doesn't float away and i dont have a canoe

I always feel bad for you NYPD guys because you don't have the 9 hour rule. We have it. It means no matter what my shift is the following day, i'm not allowed to sign on for 9 hours from the time i sign off at night. If i finish up at 2am, even if im supposed to be back later at 7am, they aren't allowed to let me sign back on for 9 hours so i wouldn't have to show up for work until 11am and those hours from 7am-11am i was suposed to work are counted as if i had worked.

my god its 1230 and im still awake after sweating nearly 12 straight house during work. Fun times!

What a sad day it is that it's only near 90 and this feels cool compared to the last few days lol. I have to say, the heat wiped me out from work the last 3 days. I feel like a train wreck.

My mother would have been 59 on Monday. She died over 2 years ago from lung cancer. It's the worst, I know what your family is going through.

 

Yup, my father right now would be 61 if he hadn't passed away from esophageal cancer at 57 years old from smoking. Worst stuff ever

I'm not religious at all in terms of praying and all that but I do wish the best. If you need to talk or anything, we are all here. These kinds of things suck to have to go through without being able to talk to anyone about it.

But those 2 cops that always stand by the cop car parked in the middle of Times Square, always taking hundreds of pictures with tourists, giving their hat to them to wear and stuff... is that their job? To take pictures with tourists? hah

impact basically means you dont have a set precinct to work in. you shuffle between precincts to wherever they need you for whatever reason. It's an NYPD thing from what I know about it. We don't have it out in Nassau

P.S., Officer K- My buddy who is on the job for 6 months is doing impact in Times Square. He says he gets asked by hot girls to pose for pictures atleast 15 times a day. Nothing wrong with that lol.

Lol, in the last 5 years, i've chased exactly one person down, and that was an armed robber that stole from London Jewelers in a robbery last year.
