Kaplan Rangers Acquire Alexander Wennberg From Seattle
Keirik replied to LindG1000's topic in New York Rangers
Why? Still an even chance of Blais scoring for the Rangers -
Bury? Why would we do that?

I don't understand why any fans get so bent out of shape about this. It's hockey. Guys are regularly playing hurt so there likely are a handful of players on most teams that routinely would be eligible to take a break from an injury that isn't a day or two to fully heal. Good for teams that have built a culture where players are allowed to recover and also benefit the team at the same time prior to the playoffs. Is it a bit of circumvention? Sure. And? There's nothing suspicious about it to be honest. They are doing it out in the open with medical backing.

He had a full NTC and controlled his destiny. Don't have a link but NHL radio was mentioning that Tanks family is in Florida so this likely was his top choice. Also, last year we got Patrick Kane for a bag of pucks so we really can't complain too much about another team getting a guy on the cheap lol.

Mercogliano 8 Early Trade Deadline Targets for Rangers
Keirik replied to RichieNextel305's topic in New York Rangers
We don't need retention for Tank. We have 5.1m cap space right now thanks to LTIR and tanks cap hit if we acquired him today would be a tad over 1m in cap space for the remainder of the year. -

Wild Re-sign Zach Bogosian to 2-year/$2.5m Extension; $1.25m AAV
Keirik replied to Phil's topic in Hockey Around the Globe
I had no idea he was actually still in the league. -
There are only 5 other players with more goals than he since the start of 21/22 No one is saying he's remotely perfect but I don't give a shit if he's only useful while whistling Dixie if he scores at a pace only surpassed by 5 other players. Dude scores more than 95% of the league. Let's be real here.
