The 6 weeks he missed we were up north with the baby and he was on an outdoor rink everyday. It's probably the best private outdoor rink in Canada. Complete with changeroom with heated floors, hot chocolate dispenser, full boards and he even bought a fucking zamboni lol. He didn't miss much.

Also, my hometown is about as good a hockey town as Little Rock. We've never produced an NHL'er and our hayday as a junior powerhouse is 20 years in the rearview mirror. Our town of 7500 was downgraded 4 years ago to a "CC" center playing other towns with a population of 2500-4000. We're a baseball town, always have been, always will be.

My kid just turned 5 and they've had 3 tournaments. It's fucking retarded. He has more fun at practice or when we're outside on a rink playing freeze tag. He hates the games. Parents just as dumb here. One dad already pointed out to me how my son is falling behind because he missed 6 weeks over Christmas/New Years. He was a house-leaguer that watched me play rep my whole life. He loves the revenge now. Or he wants to fuck my wife. Or both. I like the coaches personally. They were very good players and I consider them friends but it's becoming obvious they have an agenda. Next year if he says he doesn't want to play I wouldn't be heart broken.

From all of this it just sounds like some good ole fashion structure is needed. It's just seems like such a hodgepodge of singular organizations with seemingly no umbrella parent to operate under.

The town I'm from was "BB" the local AAA midgets refused to play us because they knew we'd beat them. Granted, they sucked.

You can't really stack here. You're pretty much going to play for the AAA program where you live closest to. The only organization where stacking is prevalent is the GTHL. I remember Markham had Stamkos, Del Zotto and someone else I think Piterangelo on their Bantam team. Good luck beating them.

Yes, and we beat the Long Island Mudcats in a tournament in Florida. US Baseball teams suck. Was it an Ontario team? If not, it doesn't count.

Primeau's have cottaged in my hometown for decades. I remember his kids being scrawny as shit. One played soccer with my brother. They are actually fairly dark-toned are they not?
