  1. I love basketball, I used to follow college but don't know. Like Jimmy said, the first 2 rounds are all the fun. With baseball starting in a week, and March Madness, hockey feels stale right now. There's really zero to play for and every team 1-16 is basically the same thing. Could be our recent run of opposing teams who really have no business having hockey franchises, I dunno. Playoffs can't come soon enough.
  2. And here it goes AAA (Grey/Bruce Highlanders) CC (Hanover Minor Hockey) You either fork out $10,000/year for the Highlanders or you play for the town you live in. Maybe you live in Hanover and it's a CC town, or maybe you live in Ayton and it's E. It's not an indictment on your skill level, it's an indictment on your town's population. That's why I don't want the OMHA to even think of it.
  3. I'm all for taking it out of House League as well. But what's B? "B" is different things to different organizations. I, myself, played what the OMHA classes as "B" my entire life and some of the guys I played with were fantastic players by any measure and many became either Junior A/B players or Junior C stalwarts. Ryan O'Reilly played down the road for a "CC" team. Nick Spahling played a few towns over for a "C" team. They're in the NHL. My point being, you can't just throw a blanket over everything and say no hitting below "AA". Every governing umbrella seems to be different, which is pretty dumb if you ask me. Just look at baseball, Babe Ruth is Babe Ruth. Connie Mack is Connie Mack and so on. Much better.
  4. http://www.gthlcanada.com/page/member-clubs That's all the GTHL clubs. I would think you guys would more run in to OMHA clubs.
  5. That would mean my entire town wouldn't have hitting. What do they do when they want to play junior or AAA? A level is different in an organization like the GTHL I think.
  6. If the OMHA does the same we're going to have a major issue.
  7. Yeah. Obviously. Can't believe Javelin has survived the pussification of our culture.
  8. More pure gold from Jared Keeso, who just turned Letterkenny Problems in to a show on Comedy network here.
  9. It's all so confusing. Why not play for your home town that plays out of the rink in your hometown? Forget the level. It doesn't matter. Bobby Orr played for a 'C' center. Claude Giroux is from Hearst, Ontario. It was a 3 hour drive to the next human being. The worst thing to happen to minor hockey imo is the jumping around from centre to centre. Just play, and if you're good enough, they'll find you.
  10. Everything has been awesome, from MSG to a simple cup of coffee, it's all just better. My only gripe is banking. I've had a credit card with a chip for almost a decade, I've never swiped it in my memory, so of course it won't swipe anywhere and I have to physically key the # in. Makes me sweat. Get with the times lol
  11. I've only bought 4 Reggae CD's I didn't want.
  12. I've been looking for Nik, and I think every skinny guy with nice shoes is Jim.
  13. All tourist shit. Hungover today, more tourist shit. Drunk again soon I hope.
  14. I drove through Jersey. It was actually beautiful.
  15. I have zero control over our NYC itinerary but besides the hockey game I'm dead set on a famous NYC steak joint. Some of the obvious are out due to dress code and the fact we're country bumpkins but I have a couple lesser lights in mind. Quality Meats, The Striphouse and Staghorn.. Anyone been and how would they rate against just going to a Ruth's Chris or something?
  16. In other Canadian Soccer news, our national team lost 14-1 to a Botswana team missing their 2 semi-professional players.
  17. Maybe they don't like how you refer to yourself in the third person as "JohnnyDollaz".
  18. Flight was delayed 3 times, get to office in Saskatoon at 2AM, truck won't start because it's minus a billion so I pulled a George Costanza. Now I have a 18 hour drive to Northern BC. Fuck I miss Christmas.
  19. They still left a big name at home in favour of Gauthier.
