Not one of our Harvard guys?

Yup, stat-line just mediocre at best. Eye test just painful to watch. If he's not making hits (0) or blocking shots (2), his 23:43 is a wicked liability.

I think I finally figured this out. Chris Kreider is that old girlfriend that is smoking frikkin hot, but she does so much stupid shit that you're ready to curb her for good. But, she keeps showing up and doing all those "best girlfriend ever" tricks and you let her back in. Over and over again. I yield to the gentlemen from Boxford, Mass. JJ in VA - LGR 1/2 Way Home

Not True. Game 4, the 34th dominated (scoring/chances/hits). Game 5, not as much, but they clearly were hitting, shooting and blocking shots. None were more than a -1. It's not the 34th Division, or Laffy. Game 6 the 34th will dominate again, and all our other leaders will follow !

Sorry Br4d, I'm not biting. Prior to Game 4, I called it; the 3rd/4th line domination. I'd like to refer to them as our 34th Division. The 34th has continued our their youth movement and they are being driven by Vesey and Goody, and Wenny. Sure, we missed some wide open shots and are clanging posts, but KK and Cuylle are creating scoring chances everywhere. This core is leading by example and they'll be the reason the NYR advance. Now our regulars. Look around and watch Laffy. He'll instill some urgency in our vets that, frankly, have a tendency to "glide" as we've all said. Well, don't look now but your 34th Division just wore down the Canes front lines, again. So, step it up. Line by line, goalie-to-goalie, the New York Rangers are the better team. Laffy and KK, Cuylle and Jimmy are driving this bus now. I'm just going to sit back, watch and do my own thing. Be one of our regulars and hop on board.

Playoffs Rangers-Hurricanes — Round Two General Series Thread

Sorry Albatross, I'm jus not ready to give up on KK. Yes, a lot of mistakes, misses and penalties since he's been back. But man, he's so strong on the stick and truly a gifted skater. At 23, in the greatest city in the world, it may be a whirlwind for him in this foreign land. Just a year ago, he got healthy and was making strides (18/22) and like the team, they were navigating through post-COVID regiments, injuries and a coaching change. Peca (and Housley adjace) will mold him. Kris Knoblauch always had high hopes for him. I see a comfort level with Fil back and Wennberg is a great mentor. Were we frustrated with Laffy? Have faith my man, KK will surface soon. This third line will make some noise, starting today ! LGR -

Does Foxy look a little off ? His body language hasn't looked good. More than just the regular "oh shucks" look. I think he's got something going on physically ? -

Can someone explain to me what that intro music ESPN is playing? It sounds like some Russian polka shit? Really annoying. Oh, and thank God Pernell-Karl Sylvester Subban was off the set last night. Messier seemed so pleased not to listen to that AssHat. And Holy crap, that was a sweet suite Mess was rocking ! Weekes >>>>>>>>Schlubbaaahn -

Rempe with the Gordie Hatty would send the shockwave notice to the entire League. The New York Rangers are here to stay ! I see it happening too with Jimmy or Goody getting one tonight. The rag-dolling fight would just be the cherry on top. Still looking for KK to be my sleeper, and the four-line cannonball leaving Penn Station for Raleigh with a 2-0 lead. Rempe, Jimmy, KK and/or Laffy light it 5x5. Bread, Troch, CK and Zibb pepper Canes on PP. I'd like to the see the over/under on PP scores for NYR. I'll go <30 seconds. Holy cow, these special teams are the best I've ever seen. Crush them tonight. I'd like a 7-2 win, Thank You ! -
BB, why can't NYR special teams dominate ? I know Canes were tops in ST, but for this game they looked outmatched. I'd play Matty for sure. He is the tone setter, the enforcer and embodiment of this team. I'd rather have my fourth liner be the punisher (4 hits) and if he draws penalties, so be it. Afterall, he only plays 7 mins.

Excellent game. Two or three defensive lapses, but a nice win. Rangers Special Teams impressive. Shut down Canes convincingly. Very proud of the team effort. Go get game #2 -

I'm with you OZ. Grind them early, get in Freddie's head and make an ass-kicking, shut-out, statement for the series. LGR
