Brindamore doesn't have a contract yet with the Canes. If they lose Monday I'm not sure he will be the Canes coach next year. That said, we have the better team from top to bottom, on reserve, and in goal. Rangers could have won tonight. Great opportunities even in the 1st period. The difference was the law of averages. Rangers can't win every game, Igor can't stop every shot (132 shots in 3 games), Canes will eventually score on a PP, and the Rangers can't keep starting games from behind and expect to win them all. And at some point the Canes were going to play with some sense of desperation that exceeded the Rangers - tonight was that point and they still almost blew it. We win Monday because the deamons from last year are still haunting this team.

Panarin had a bad game BUT we did not quit on this one. Going home now to slay the deamons from last year.

I personally don't think that should be an allowable goal because it is not a shot. To me it is no different than hand or kick in. A shot on goal needs to be a shot.

Canes are playing for pride and out of desperation. They lose this game they stay home to golf and Rangers get some rest again for next series. BUT we are still fighting deamons from last year and there are 2 periods left. Be interesting if Laviolette puts Quick in to give Igor some well derserved rest. And, we have a better 3rd and 4th lines.
