that was my exact thought.. These previews are well researched and the metrics are very well presented.. but they really don't consider improvements (or regression). With a team counting on youth, the expectation is there will be growing pains, but some of these kids are going to continue to grow.

Shestorkin being 6'1 is his "problem"... Its almost as if the stellar KHL numbers didn't happen.. If he were 6'3 I'm sure he'd be higher (and if my aunt had a pecker, she'd be my uncle)

Rangers did finish 20 points out of a playoff spot.. with a roster built for a tank. Carolina missed by 14 points last year and made it to the ECF.. Not optimal, but every year there are a few teams who make a big leap.
