  1. I already sat through a nerve-wrecking soccer game at the local stadium today. Not sure my heart can take a lot more.
  2. Ah, damn it. Yeah. Ugh. Not sure if I can stay up all game.
  3. As always, game start at 1AM. Whoohoo!
  4. Taco night? That sounds good, maybe a plan for tomorrow. We had fried potatoes, fresh spinach and a very good steak. :) About to head to bed, very tired.
  5. I'm glad we got a good deal for our company, 'cause I'm also NOT happy about last nights loss. Not at all.
  6. LMAO, probably deserved it. Epic fail.
  7. BAM! Did it again, passed the exam with an AB. Jules = happy man.
  8. Fingers crossed again. In 12 hours from now I'm stepping in to my professors office for a 45 minute interview and conversation about the history of history, postmodernism, Enlightenment and scientific philosophy. Pass, and it's one of those huge steps forward again. Fail, and I need an extra semester in college. Now, I'm gonna catch some sleep, read my summary again on the train tomorrow and ... there we go. This will be hard, but I have a good feeling about it.
  9. Thanks man! I'm currently doing something that other students and my advisor called "crazy". I'm taking pretty much double the amount of classes in comparison to the regular program, so I can graduate earlier (a full semester) and save some money and time. It's a bit of a weird plan and it's okay in regular weeks, but absolute madness in midterms and finals weeks.
  10. Thanks everyone! I'm fairly convinced I took a major step towards graduation, as in, all went quite well. Now another exam tomorrow and another one on Tuesday and things are looking bright.
  11. Getting pretty nervous right now. One of the most important exams of my life is later today. Fail, and I might need an extra semester in college. Success, and I'm a major step closer to graduation... ::fingers crossed::
  12. The friend zone is an excuse guys come up with when the girl is just not physically interested.
  13. Perfect. I feel the same about my girlfriend. So, no, there's nothing more a guy could ask for. Don't let those schools be a problem, if it's meant to be or possible, it will.
  14. If she has trouble skating, skate behind her, hands on her hips, and push her forward. That's kind of close, but it works for what you are teaching. Very good position to be in. Is she cute? Your kind of girl? Good luck sir!
  15. Not much. Working on a paper, heading out for a family dinner in just a bit. :) You?
  16. I can understand that. It was not a good game at all. It was exciting because it's my beloved team against one of our arch rivals, but other than that... glad I didn't bring any neutral friends with me. The game was also completely disrupted by police intervention to keep away fans at bay, by idiots throwing firecrackers at opposing teams players and shit like that. I love soccer, I really do, and I love this team too, but sometimes I wonder why I still go to their games. Soccer has gone down the drain by commercialism, idiocracy in the stands and by backdoor transactions among teams, players and agents. I wish I could walk away from it all, but the love is too deep. As long as the team is there, I'll go, if only because being there feels as if I'm close to my late father. Oh well. :)
  17. I think it's even worse, LOL. 0-0 draw in a game we could've easily won against a rival who almost handed us the points. Disappointing, but at least we didn't lose. Oh well.
  18. So nervous... my favorite pro soccer team play their biggest rival tonight. I'm going to the game, but feel so nervous. Wanted to write a paper today and I just couldn't do it... heart is beating in my throat and it's 3 hours till kick-off. Pretty bizarre feeling. Minor detail: I support one team, have done so all my life with my father, but the rival is from my actual place of birth and where the rest of my family is from. Such a weird, weird feeling... every season. C'MON "FORTUNA SITTARD", MAKE US PROUD!!!
  19. Oh no... aaaargh. What has been read, can not be unread. :D
  20. It makes sense that people are allowed to drive younger in the US than here, because we have everything within biking distance and public transport everywhere. Not so much in the US, so cars are very necessary at a younger age. My gf lived 20 minute drive from high school, 25 from a movie theatre and restaurants. I lived a 15 minute bike ride away from those things. That's a different story. :) Good luck to him, driving a car to "nowhere" on a roadtrip is the ultimate freedom to me.
  21. Okay, cool. Always keep in mind, it's a lot easier in the USA to get a drivers license than The Netherlands. I'm jealous! :) We have about the hardest, longest tests ever. Okay, we also have one of the safest traffic numbers in the world, even though we have 17 million people in a country just twice the size of New Jersey, but still... between 30 and 50 hours of guided on-the-road driving lessons with an instructor, a one hour written exam (50 questions, you need to get 44 of them right) and a one hour driving exam with margin for 1 minor error. Not easy at all. Than again, if you hit the road here, you know you can do it.
  22. LOL, I almost asked "did you get him a beer?" ... and than I realized rules are not the same as here. :palm: Is he getting his drivers license though? :)
