  1. Well, if you beat the one of the best team in the league twice in a row, yeah, that's the minimum they can be called...
  2. *-emphasis mine.. I should've known not to discuss this subject with a lawyer... Either sides view of the glass is cool, but remains to be seen which one turns out to be realistic.
  3. No, you didn't not say that out directly, but certainly implied it with "mediocre team", "if they make the playoffs", etc. For you, the glass is half empty, for me, it's half full. That's all...
  4. I would not call the #5 team in the league "mediocre team", regardless of the schedule and backups on the other teams. They still needed to win those games. The players and coaches know that they need to be better against playoff teams: https://www.nhl.com/rangers/video/123121-postgame-goodrow/t-277437422/c-10061729?icmp=int_web_nyr_video_topnav It's still early in the season and there's time to address this. You don't believe that they will, I do.
  5. Florida threw up 9 goals against 3rd and 4th string goalies, the Rangers had the backup goalie, who gifted them two goals. Shesty wasn't back to his usual "elite" level yet, SV% of 0.893, but had been great in the shootout. Tampa is still missing key players, but I'd be happy with a "fake win" tomorrow...
  6. Yeah, Turk was hot, ready to drop the gloves with the referee. Instead, he almost nailed Reaves....
  7. Or Tampa Bay is really ticked off by the Florida drubbing and will take it out on the Rangers... I watched the Tampa @ Panthers game last night, it's been a good game. Tampa lost because of the 3rd/4th string goalies and the faster/harder play style of the Panthers. These two teams also have a rivalry, similar to Rangers/Fishstick, that did not help Tampa either.... In retrospect, the Rangers did pretty good on Wednesday against the Panthers, kept them in check for two periods and then the gates opened in the third. If the Rangers play 60 minutes against Tampa Bay, they have a chance to come away with two points...
  8. Florida is just as rusty with the long layoff and correct me if I am wrong; didn't the Rangers beat them over a month ego? LGR, get two more points! Tampa is a tougher team to beat since they also played yesterday and won against Montreal in a close game. Just glad that hockey is back...
  9. Especially, if Shesty stays on the IR list frequently. Garand signing could also be viewed as Drury's leverage for his contract negotiation with Georgie at the end of the season... Success in the junior league, or AHL, is not a guaranty for success in the NHL. Don't we have couple first round picks to verify this statement?
  10. Well, in that case the VGN cannot intercept Panarin's cross-ice, or other passes...
  11. The Rangers are #1 in the division and #2 in the league, after this ugly coyote win. The Fishstick is #4 in the league... from the bottom of the list. We must be living in an alternative universe....
  12. What's your take on Turk's goalie experiment #2 tonight? The first one with Huska didn't go well...
  13. Curious... How many of you planning to "riot" after the game tonight??? @Phil What will be the location, Fifth Ave???
  14. Of course you will and they will make more, like 425M more, quote: Source: https://nypost.com/2021/12/14/how-to-watch-rangers-vs-avalanche-only-on-espn-and-hulu/ Streaming is where the money is and everyone wants a piece of the pie. Statistics show that the fans will complain, cancel their subscription, etc., but they always return to watch their games. Especially when their teams play well. Come on Rangers, it's all your fault, go loose games so we can cancel our subcription for awhile to pay the Xmas bills...
  15. Try at Disney... https://www.disneyplus.com/welcome/disney-hulu-espn-bundle
  16. I've just bundled Disney, The POS cheap Hulu and ESPN+ for 14 bucks a month. My grandkids were looking for Disney and I needed ESPN+ for the Rangers and the KHL games...
  17. It depends on how you bundled Hulu, that has three different streaming options: $6.99/month with ads $12.99/month without ads $64.99/month Hulu + Live TV Option #1 and 2 will not have the Rangers game, only the #3 option will. ESPN+ for $6.99/month is a much better option and will have the Rangers game...
  18. AG is not Huska, even if you just take away three easy goals from last week's game against the Avalanche, the score would had been 4-3. That's not trashing by the other team on your home ice.... You never know, the Rangers may return the "favor" tonight. As the saying goes in football, "That's why they play the game..."
  19. Enough of that, let's talk about tonight game... If any any chance, with AG in the goal, the Rangers will loose 2-1. or in the unlikely event they'd win the game... Are you going to be mad at Turk for not starting Georgi last week against the Avalanche? Just curious...
  20. I have nothing against out of the local market fans getting the Rangers games on ESPN, or ESPN+. My gripe is about taking away games from the fans in the local market, who added MSG Network to their cable subscription. As @CCCP in the local market complained, he has to pay to watch the Rangers tonight. Why, he and I already paying for the MSG Network? Again, the NFL Sunday Ticket blacks out foobtall games in the local markets, not the other way around. Why can't NHL/MSG/ESPN+ do the same? It's not an oversight by NHL/MSG/ESPN+, it's a deal that they made to increase ESPN+ subscription... That's bullshit....
