I understand he's playing with PP producers (5 of Zibanejad's and Kreider's points are from the PP, and 1 shorthanded each), but that's on pace for a 7-7-14 season over 82 games. Would a shift alongside Cuylle and Trocheck lead to better production alongside 'checking' players? I'm especially surprised given he's in a contract year.

You use Lindgren and Gustafsson to make up for Schneider and Jones. Honestly I put Jones with Lindgren. Jones is a similar archetype to Fox, just AHL-level. Brainy, decent with stick, not physical, plays positionally. Lindgren also being a SAH defenseman means he's already covering for his partner. You split the Lindgren-Jones and Gustafsson-Schneider pairs ice time while giving Miller-Trouba 25+ minutes a night.

Jones-Schneider is the poopy-flavored lollypop of a defensive pair. I'd rather split them up.

I think we had the better chances but overall I agree. We defended well and just didn't capitalize on our chances.

They didn't pressure us with as many high quality chances as we did to them, at least from what I saw. I don't have X to see Vally's report.

This game shouldn’t have been so close with both Laf and Kakko missing on breakaways, Cuylle getting a prime opportunity stopped, and Hellebuyck preventing Zibanejad from a tap in. But I liked the resilience to keep playing and finally potting our chance on the PP
