  1. Oh boy. Only 30 picks until we're up again.
  2. They're going to need the space. Pick 91 and Goodrow for Pick 43. Rangers pick Kalan Lind.
  3. And it seems like Perreault is really a disciple of Muse. https://theathletic.com/4420509/2023/04/27/gabe-perreault-2023-nhl-draft/ From what I've read about what Muse looks for in a player, Perreault seems to be his model. This all reads very well. It instills some confidence in me that he'll take the next two years or so at BC to bulk up and work on his skating.
  4. I know we're all a little shell-shocked from poor skaters lately but this is a fantastic pick at 23. Perreault has the high level of skill that we always beg for. He'll be given adequate time to develop and light up college. We'll have a really good player in 3 years. Let him marinate. He's going to do the work.
  5. https://theathletic.com/4645546/2023/06/28/nhl-draft-2023-first-round-grades-analysis/

  7. Rooting for Michkov to Arizona because it would be hilarious. Immediate Lindros situation.
  8. Please just not Stramel in the first. Drury please.
  9. Garand had a good playoff stretch but he's not ready. They should give him at least half the season as a starter in Hartford.
  10. I'm all for the cute story of a Rangers fan finally coming home, but Quick is pretty cooked. I don't know if there's much Allaire can do to help a goalie who was more reliant on his athleticism than positioning. This kind of feels like Pavelec 2.0. Quick will get them to the midway point and then it's probably gonna be Garand down the stretch.
  11. Absolutely zero interest in Wheeler. He’s yet another pass first player whose size leads non viewers to think he’s more physical than he is. Add in that he was stripped of his captaincy while commanding a notoriously toxic locker room. Wheeler is exactly what the Rangers don’t need.
  12. Nuge had 52 points in 62 games. He was a lock for the Calder that year had he not gotten injured. He was soured on after the fact. Nuge up until injury seemed legit.
  13. Fake account. Watch out for these this time of year. I know Twitter hasn’t made things easier but be careful to read the handles properly and look at follower counts.
  14. No. I’m avoiding having to waste my time debating you because you’re unbearably dense and lack reading comprehension skills.
  15. I never said this, but it also clearly highlights your lack of understanding of his role and that of someone like Vesey. They’re not the ones scoring the goals… But yeah I’m not wasting my time “debating” with someone reading around my arguments. You and I aren’t ever seeing eye to eye.
  16. Right but even Goodrow’s 3 year includes 1 year while he was with Tampa. That’s not even enough to pull up his numbers despite a stronger lineup and better coach.
  17. This is all perfectly fair. But again, he’s not the only guilty party. I can’t tell you how many times I saw Schneider do the same, and he’s not a converted forward. This is something the team needs to work on. I hope Miller especially improves because he’s so loaded with potential.
  18. Goodrow gets paid more than Fast because he won back to back cups. As much as Goodrow was a factor in those cups, I think Tampa would’ve won all the same with Fast in his stead. Fast is a better player and just doesn’t have cups on his resume. Don’t believe me? The stats back it up too. Of which you’ve provided none, by the way, besides point totals and cap hits. Is that how we judge quality? Cap hit? Jacob Trouba must be one hell of a defender then… But let’s get to stats shall we? Goodrow doesn’t even come close to Fast’s defensive ability. Fast is also quite literally the best forechecker in the league. The furthest up and to the right Canes flag represents him on the chart. It’s no wonder everywhere he goes he’s a valued teammate because he does all of the dirty work. And frankly I’m not convinced you know what the dirty work looks like. If you did, you’d appreciate players like Vesey and Fast. Their teammates do.
  19. You’re far too preoccupied with Miller. It’s an epidemic on the Rangers, he’s not the sole contributor.
