Playoffs? Who cares. This fucking team was not built even to withstand grind of a second half of the season, let alone playoffs. Mighty power play rated at number 2 (pun intended) produced exactly horse shit against worst power kill. 

In average it takes this team anywhere from 55 to 60 minutes to score one goal. What are the chances we win this game? 

I started to wonder if the crap they trying to pull is deliberate. I don’t see any other reasons this team looks and plays like shit game in and game out

Sky is not falling yet, but will be soon if nothing is done about changing this soft style of play they lately adopted. Nothing passes visual test, not offence nor defence. Peripheral offence with east west passes and no one going to the net, constant hesitance to shoot from bad angles, and infinite chase for that one perfect play which comes very seldom. Same with power play. It just boggles my mind how on earth it could be rated at no 2 in the whole league?! Defence is as soft as baby’s ass. Always somebody is behind last d and goal. Can’t clear bodies in the front of the net. And again d is looking for that perfect outlet pass. Other teams already figured all this shit out that’s why 6 is lost out of last 8. And those 6 were not an elite teams, they were either bottom feeders or teams with some serious problems being it health related or just a regular slump. Doesn’t matter, we lost hopelessly, and in most cases making opponent’s no-name goalies look like Dryden in his prime.

Was just a matter of time. This style of play has to stop. Peripheral offence which ends premature before anybody take a shot at the goal with inability to clear d zone is bad recipe. 

Interesting how they drafted byfield as a center and moved him to the left, we drafted laf as a left and moved him to the right. I remember tons of discussions how rangers might chose c instead of winger. Now looking back, should drury have traded 1st overall for a second?

After every bad loss we can pinpoint the guy who’s made a bad play here and there. But in reality it is always on aggregated team defence, being it a goalie, a d-man of forward who fucked it up at some point of the game. Let’s look at the first goal vegas scored. Marchensau(sp?) casually walks thru 2 rangers players, passes the puck, continues to go to the net, gets the puck back with laf behind his back doing nothing but looking at the girls on stands. Boom, next thing u know puck goes by Shesterkin into the net. All 4 rangers involved into this are responsible. Could Igor have made a save? Yes he could’ve. . Could laf have been more aggressive, yes he could’ve. Could those first two have tried to stop march from waltzing into the zone? Yes they could’ve. But none of that happened. Hence the goal. And that’s how it went. Almost on all goals. Bad team defence. Every game they lost lately, it’s all the same. 

Honestly, off these 2 new Panarin linemates, he is not as impressive as troch has become. I would hold our horses praising laf until visual improvement manifests into points. 

Finally lines were finishing like gangbangers. Good team work

They 9-1-0, us 4-5-1, but we are 6th overall, they 20th. Interesting what gives

I wish I could say it was impressive win but I can’t. They day raped my eyes with number 2 power play 

In mid season form this team can’t score 5 on 5, can’t consistently score 5 on 4 (don’t care what pp stat says), can’t defend. Very optimistic outlook. 

So far it has been a downward spiral for the rangers. With no end-of-a -tunnel-light in sight

Othmann was very noticeable his first game, after that meh, that’s why his ice time was cut. Hope he develops more. Time to bring up big swede. 

Not looking so good right now. Goaltending is very questionable, team make up is not too far behind that. Swiss cheese team defence with the holes bigger than Grand Canyon.

100 percent agree with that. Obviously Bedard has very impressive scoring record his first year in nhl but tonight our 1st overall looked better than theirs.
