I saw that....sucks to be Toronto....if they end up meeting this year in the playoffs they may throw a parade if they beat Boston.

I think it's hilarious that even in their sim Toronto loses to Boston in the first round again.

I can see the team making a trade for a capable passing 2C. However, who is going to be available? Who would we be able to move for that position without breaking the bank?

The game tonight was great and exciting, however you can see the holes in the Defensive System. It needs some fine tuning.

I don't mind Strome at all.

I know the analytics/Rangers blog crew hate him, but to me he's just fine. I doubt he's the solution at 2c in the long term, but I think he'll do well enough. He'll be playing with 2 dynamic wingers and I think he's a good complimentary piece on that 2nd line.

However, I do believe that he may be better suited for the 3C with less pressure.

I like Strome and I home he shows me wrong and he deserves to be the 2C.

Lundquist - Returns to his prime with a 50 game season. Retires on the top of his game and not with his head down in defeat.

Anderson - Has a breakout year, becomes a reliable 2C who can shut down the other team, put that net front presence and breaks 55 points. Most being 20 goals from deflections or dirty area goals.

I'd really like to see him wearing the C. He deserves it. He plays with such heart and soul in both ends of the ice. Plus he leads by example, I think he does everything that a captain should do.

I hope he gets named on opening night.

Based on preseason, I'd say we dont have anyone stepping up to the 2C role.

I believe after watching Smith, he may really earn a spot on the roster and not as the 7th D. He worked hard and didn't take any stupid penalties so far. I was impressed by how hard he hustles in the play as well as behind the play against the Islanders.

He is going to make it hard for the team to send him to Hartford if he keeps playing like he has been.

The Rangers actually looked good yesterday. I went to the game and what I loved most about going is the ability to see what goes on behind the play.

Smith broke his butt yesterday, looked solid in his position and didn't take any stupid penalties. He clearly believes he deserves to be in the roster for the season and I am starting to think he is right. I was very impressed by his solid defense yesterday.

Also, Henrik looked amazing, like he was ready to rebound. I'd say with a reduction in games played he could have a great year. We are solid in net for years to come with the goalies in our pipeline.

I know it's just one game, but makes it exciting to be a Rangers fan again with all we have to look forward to.

I play a lot of NHL on the Xbox and am always looking for others to play with and against.

The team is so new and evolving that they will find their own identity. The first PSG looked great with the crisp passing, 2nd and 3rd looked lost.

They need to start to form chemistry and feed of each other.

With only 3 games from 10/3 to 10/15 they need to use this time wisely.

As much as I appreciate all he did for the team, he must know his time is coming to an end.

The only problem is that we have two very young goaltenders. One with less than 50 games of NHL experience and one who just started playing on a smaller ice surface.

I can see Hank hanging them up and moving on to do other things in his life. I just dont see it until next year.

He can do whatever he wants, the team gave him that power.
