Playoffs Rangers-Hurricanes Round Two — General Series Thread

That would be.... GREAT. -
All these things were true. But they also had a benefit from that point forward until the cap was introduced. They had the resources to outspend many. This article only mentions a db established in 2000. Cap went in 05-06. It's also mentions: https://bleacherreport.com/articles/401569-new-york-rangers-led-nhl-in-total-payroll-once-again-in-200910 There's a bunch of numbers, highest salaries on the team in between these quotes by the year. I didn't want to cut and paste the whole article, but there's some depressing reminders in there.

Report Lightning Reportedly Re-sign Jon Cooper to 1-year Extension

This is weird, you would think this guy would know what's going on. @Phil isn't Pagnotta the frosted tips guy who we don't like? -
Not tonight Lundgren was in net for the Caps. You know 70's rocker Todd Rundgren's older brother. Sam got so excited at times tonight I'm pretty sure his teeth actually flew out of his mouth. Really great to see them finish this series off in 4, hardly their best effort but a great result nonetheless. Now rest, regroup and bring it in game 1 no matter who they face.

The only thing is when Wilson runs Panarin into next week in retaliation and he's down will it be worth it? I don't think so. Keep the hits hard and clean and they'll be much better off. Keep knocking guys out of games and it will eventually catch up to them. That's what I'm worried about. We have way more to lose then they do.
