  1. Got tackle-hugged by some big heavy lady in section 221 on the stairs!!! ...Last piece of ass I got since my finger went through the toilet paper!!! Best night ever!!! ....From what I remember!
  2. I can't wait for this kid!! ...and this coming season!! Feels like we're at the top of a big mountain, with a fast sled, on a snow day from school!!!
  3. Yeah man, I'm in Holtsville...right down the road! I'll bet you've even seen me out and around!
  4. I'll save you a seat at Flanagan's again this year!
  5. Hey Big guy!! It's gonna be a little more fun this year with the addition of Kakko...or Hughes, doesn't matter. These kids are going to be so fun to watch, and I'm sure they'll have "their moments" this year, but all good! We have a direction, good leadership, and something extremely important: HOPE!
  6. I simply think Kreider is going to want more than that in $$$ and term. He's certainly entitled to his desires, and has done a good job so far. I don't think it's in the Ranger's best interest to sign and keep a player as inconsistent as CK. It's rebuild time and he's a fairly valuable asset right now. I also don't see Kreider as part of this team 3 years down the road, where he may be blocking the path of a #1 draft pick of 2020 or 2021 who can very well be another Kakko or Hughes. As Jimi once said so eloquently, "Move over, Rover!" I see your point though Keirik, and I think Kredier has been a pretty good Ranger as well. It's just an eye towards 3 years down the pike for me, and I wanna see them build through the draft and our current young players. I'm gonna root like hell for this youngsters this season, and I wanna see them learn and grow as team together for years to come!
  7. Agreed boys!!! This is not a win now type team, and next year's draft is sounding like it's going to have some special players. Getting a very high draft pick may just be what the doctor ordered. Putting yet another generational player with the likes of Hughes/Kakko will make leaps and bounds of sense over resigning a Free agent to any long term deal in my book. Our time will come when we'll need to sign a biggie....I don't think now is that time. BUT, when that time does come (...and it will again!) it will be great to know we'll have the cap space and freedom to do so with ease!! Staying the course!!!
  8. The "consolation" prize is pretty damn amazing though, RR!!
  9. I really don't see Mess as a coach. I see him more as some sort of management level type. I'm fine with Quinn back behind the bench; I really like him, actually. As much as I love Messier, I don't think head coach is the spot for him.
  10. I don't know about being behind the bench, but JD was ALWAYS a gigantic advocate of Mess. In the old Rangers Stanley Cup video I remember a quote from Howie Rose saying that when he spoke to JD, he gave him a 10 minute tirade on how great a player Messier was, and that at the end of that talk, Howie was ready to get in his car and drive to Edmonton to pick Messier up and drive him to NY personally....Let me see if I can find that scene....it's pretty funny. But yeah V, I think Mess is going to be a part of the show in some capacity. The guy's a winner and he brings that to the table. Can't surround yourself with enough of those types, in my opinion. Got it!!!: it's starts at 4:25, if the link doesn't take you right to it.
  11. It was a tough one to endure, 31!! I had a rough year with these guys. ....killed a lot of Jager bottles in the process!! LOL
  12. Hughes is going to be a superstar, in my estimation. Barring any crazy injury, or unforeseen dilemma, there's nothing standing in the way of Hughes being an absolute beast in years to come. He'll mature and put on weight without an issue....Christ, he's not even drinking age yet. Too bad the puking Devils get first shot at him! Let him hit 21, hang out drinking with his team mates until all hours of the night, and then hit up a Wendy's or a White Castle a couple times after hours!!! Trust me!! He'll put on some weight!!! ...may not do much for his skating, but he'll definite put on some weight!!!
  13. So far, so Good, V!!! We deserve this though!!!!....just trying to endure last year was like trying to eat 6 apples and shit a fruit salad!
  14. Just a great day for a really cool dude!! Here's the vid's : [video=youtube;-I-gdXCyrrM]
  15. I couldn't resist!!! I'm not a Callahan guy though...BELIEVE ME!!!
  16. Great stuff from Dave Maloney here: (Even mentions the Hockey sock rock!!)
  17. I'm re-thinking Hayes....I was against it at first, but it's starting to make a little more sense....especially if the price is right.
  18. You're not the only one, Flynn!!! It's just so Ranger-like that they pull some kind of stupid shit and goo "off the track". I have to stay on the ledge though, and hope that Gorton and JD are a little bit smarter than our last regime. I put my faith in Gorton, I think the guy knows his shit, and I definitely trust JD; Fucking guy is a hockey guru! It's Kakko all the way! Worst case scenario, we get Hughes....not a bad worst case in my book!!!
  19. I hear ya, Bugg!! Right now he's probably at an all time low in value. No use selling now. May as well let him re-establish himself during the upcoming season, and possibly play himself back to value. He really can't be any worse than he's been thus far. These kids have a little ways to go and some are going to be playing in the minors this year anyway, so why not let us try to get something out of him this year.
  20. Consider this my post when they announce it formally later today! I'll be out celebrating!!!
  21. I'm going out tonight and having a bottle of champagne!!!!!...Maybe 2 or 3!!! I love JD!!! He's gonna be exactly what we need moving forward!
  22. Insert progression speed bump here!! I knew you couldn't resist!!! LOL I really can't see New Jersey passing on Hughes....they would look terrible if they pass on the highest touted player for 3 years, the guy goes to the hated Rangers, and then wins them a cup inside 5 years... The Devils are building through the middle as well, and Hughes fits their build pretty well. He has connections with them, and his buddy Nico Hischier is already there picking out his linen!
