  1. If you’re asking about his 94’ playoff stats he scored 4 of his 11 goals on the power play.  Unlike Fox he wasn’t afraid to shoot to score from the point.  He was a master on knowing when to join the rush and possibly the best power play point man in Rangers history.  As good as Fox is no Rangers defenseman was ever as good as Leetch.

I think I dig Lavvy's idea during his presser;  it was something along the lines of getting the matchups he wanted while on the road.

That's coach's thinking, and not "fan thinking".  I think I'll roll with Lavvy's choices.  I think he's got our backs on this one.  We have plenty of years to watch Rempe, and I bet we haven't seen the last of him in these playoffs anyway.

Now if he only would adjust who he employs on PP unit 2 he would've been up for the Jack Adams.

Re: Chytil's comeback: Kreider literally said it provided a jolt in the locker room and Vali offered the same sentiments in the post game. I think you roll with Chytil in place of Rempe unless there's an injury. And even then, you have to wonder if Brodzinski doesn't get some ice time.

Funny part about the Kreider quote is that they didn't play like it gave them a jolt in the first period.  They started to put it together when they scored short handed.

He sets himself up for more money than he can ever spend in a lifetime regardless. He's 22. An eight-year deal takes him to age 30. You don't think he's signing another significant deal then?

Depends on how he's playing at 30.

A 3 year deal takes him to 25 which should be the height of his career.  Probably gets 12M+ at that point for 8 years.

Why? He's in a fantastic position with a team who could win the Cup this year and he's set to make a massive amount of guaranteed money. Unless he wants to get to free agency as quickly as possible, I don't see any reason not to go the full 8 years here for both sides.

For the Rangers it makes sense to go 8 years, but if he signs for 2-3 years he sets himself up for a much bigger contact down the road.
