Not sure if I read it correctly but a buyout of Trouba costs 2M a season for 4 years?
Might be worth considering.

That’s his second swing and miss this series. 1 more and he’s out?

2nd round, up 3-1. We got nothing else to bitch about.
Rangers fans will always have something to bitch about. When we win the cup it will be we took too many games to do it.

41-22-3 record without Rempe in lineup for a .621 winning percentage.
21-2-1 record with him in lineup for a .875 winning percentage.
That’s the entire season including playoffs.- 1

They looked like ass in the Stadium Series where he played! They needed a 3P comeback and PPs to win! What did he have to do with that after his one fight in the opening minutes where they then proceeded to start losing?
The record is smoke and mirrors man.
It may very well be smoke and mirrors but the only way to prove it is win without him which they haven’t consistently done.

You know I've said this forever so I agree.
I went and looked at his game log and it's littered with wins against CBJ, PHI, NYI, NJ, STL, MTL, OTT...These are not good teams.
Look man if Canes fans were on this forum and saw us arguing over how a 5:00 4th liner was the key to winning...Come on man. Let's be real.
They also lost against the Islanders and Philly without him in the lineup and looked like total balls in both the games.
It’s definitely silly to be arguing so much about a 6 minute or less a game player but there’s a weird dynamic about him playing. There’s 1 way for the arguments to stop and that’s them winning without him which they haven’t been able to do enough. -

Listen… kid brings sone things. Some very good things.
No one can deny that.
But as you go deeper in the playoffs, play teams that are better and deeper, and all that comes with that, his negatives start to neutralize, and potentially outweigh his positives.
Thats all.
At home, where you can more easily control matchups, it’s the right way to go I think.
Can’t say I disagree with you but again only 8-7 when he doesn’t play. We can only surmise what playing or not playing him would do in the future. Again there’s an element to him playing that’s unexplainable to what it means to the team. There’s too big a gap in the record with and without him to not be considered. At home where you can control the matchups should be a no brainer to play him in my opinion. On the road is the real debate.

There’s arguments to both sides about Rempe playing or not and I understand both of them. But, 8-7 record without him in the lineup should be speak loudly in my opinion. There’s an intangible to him playing that really is hard to fathom or explain. Doesn’t matter if he plays less than a minute or 6 minutes.

Not sure Wennberg could score a goal on a breakaway on an empty net

I can’t see us losing this game. Carolina shot their load. They are done this game.

Easily could have 4 more goals between Lindgren, Wennberg and the 2 Lafraniere chances.
-
They come out of the second only down by a goal and they’ll win this game.

Trouba/Laffy -2, Bread -3 says ESPN…
Trouba must’ve been on the ice when Cuylle scored, didn’t notice it. My bad. He’s definitely been on for all 3 Carolina goals.

They played good from the 2nd Carolina goal to the 3rd goal. The rest of the period sucked ass.

Turnover city. Trouba has to do a better job tying up the man in front of the net.

Thanks. Just read Brodzinski is centering 4th line between Goodrow and Vesey. Anderson in goal for Carolina.

Any word on if Chytil is playing or not?

They do need his physicality and his penalty killing but you don’t find it odd that he played about 8 mins more than Schneider and Miller when they both have been markedly better than him recently?
If 1 game didn’t matter or a string of a couple games than he wouldn’t have been taken off the 2nd pair with Miller.

Barely. And there's a ton of evidence and articles written about it. Most of the slap shots taken today are one timers.
Very true and Fox has taken 1 one timer in the past three years.

Couldn’t find an end of the season total but Bouchard led the league with 7 slapshot goals at the midpoint of the season.
It isn’t what it used to be but it still is used in today’s game.

Pretty sure they won’t but they should at least think about it. He wouldn’t look so bad if they actually used him like a 3rd pair defenseman who kills penalties.
