    With all we know that could have been just crazy talk by Viserys. ;) There once was a Targaryen who died by fire, but that was the one who thought he could transform himself into a dragon by drinking seafire :D

    Congratulations Jules, you've found the reason why Dany is probably the only person in this series that we KNOW is save till the last Volume, cause it would kill of her whole storyline and render it meaningless, as no one could pick up. :) In the last Volume though, she will be in danger as everyone else.

    Now I've seen it too. Great final to a great series. But I wonder, whom of you who doesn't know the books, was thinking "Oh crap there goes the next main character", when Dany walked into the fire? :D And that have to be the cutest dragons in movie/TV history :D

    Okay now I hear the uncle on holiday won't come. "My brother is there, he can manage" or something like that he said. Adding the joke that he is on a cruise and near Rhodos, when we know that in reality he is 2 hours away from us within Germany.

    With some relatives you don't need enemys. Bah.

    Not a real surprise for me though, my mother had to fight for years till he finally started helping her taking care for their father last year.

    But I bet, if grandpa were to die tonight, my uncle would complain that we didn't tell him it was so serious.:rolleyes:

    Which was always kinda her nickname as far as I remember, cause she WAS born during a storm. She just never used it and there was no reason to do so. I love to see that so many people here, who didn't knew the books before the series started, now like the series and are actually reading the books. Fandom here has at least doubled from before and that's a very good sign. Well on to season two and the war of the five Kings :)

    I like Sci-Fi now and then, big Firefly fan for example and liked the early years of Stargate. Do you have some links for me on those series? I don't know them.

    My mother is totally stressed now and runs to the hospital at least twice a day, while her brothers are on their way to town (one living in southern germany, the other was on holiday). I think she gets a bit room to breath when they are here tomorrow. Though she probably will start thinking then, all in all it is an "It had to happen one day" athomspere right now. Probably will get worse when it really happens.

    Guess what my grandpa tried to run away again this night lol. Seems they have to chain him to the bad to keep him there.

    All organs are failing him more and more, he's only one leg and still he is able to be so stubborn that he already is creating his own legend with the staff at the hospital :D

    Obviously he also refuses to use the diapers they gave him, to avoid having him stand up.

    First day back in work and I already now that I will do well there. The work is easy and nearly the same as what I am used to and in addition to that the technical stuff of the office sucks big time. Just as it should in a real office. :D

    On the contrary, books are normally written in a way that they have some closing words or chapters after the climax, especially when they are planned to be part of a longer series. Rarely the climax is at the end and not every story plants the seeds to continue reading in the end either. Most of the times it's the unanswered questions from the beginning that are supposed to make you continue. And how many questions were left open in this one, Phil already pointed out.

    Oh it had me smiling a bit. He won't give in and change till the end. He also didn't allow the doctors to check on his old leg wound, claiming that todays doctors have no idea how to treat a war injury :D (when all the doctors back than did, was cut of everything until they thought it was enough)

    Thank you. He is a stubborn guy, appearently he tried to run from the hospital last night. Not so easy, considering he has only one leg since 1945 (he has an artificial leg that he takes of for the night). Luckily, the other persons in his room called the nurses before he made it out of the room.
