  1. The above says it in a nutshell. Exciting victory for the Isles on Boston turf. Back to NY for the next - and hopefully - final game of this series. The Beantowners, starting from the coach on down, surely have a frustrated look on their faces.

Uh... Isles did what the NYR can't do. Beat Boston at their own game. Onward to face Tampa... a formidable opponent to say the least. We will all get to see the ex-NYR players. You know, the ones dumped in the great rebuild, which is continuing endlessly.

  2. Isles showing their mettle! ( Matt Barzal is a prime example. No quit, ever! ) NYR are hard pressed to show theirs in the regular season, let alone the play-offs. Face reality people, the NYR are miles away from reaching the playing capability that the Isles have shown against a supposedly out-matched opponent. The next game vs. Boston may very well define what the end result will be.

  3. Gallant is from PEI. Cities right now are total shitholes. Protests, riots, crime, poverty. I'm not exactly looking to visit NYC anytime soon. Maybe he likes smaller cities maybe he wants to live on a farm. We don't know, but there's plenty of reasons to not want to live in a city like NYC these days.

Your point stands, though, if that's how he feels, he's not the right guy, anyways.

I heard a story about Larmer's 1st week in NYC with his 1980 Chevy Scotssdale. He hated the place. The guy telling me the story was also a Ranger, and he hated the place. Half of them hated the place. It's not unique.

You must be kidding! Smoking something? BTW, have you ever been to NYC??

  4. He can fight, it's just that not too many will dance with him! ....Here's one with our next #3 Center:

Props to Getzlaf for giving it a go!

Ryan Getzlaf?? OMG. Exactly what the NYR need; another over the hill vet.

  5. Bingo. The Rangers have the last element in spades, and it's the hardest one to get. We've said it for the entire 2010s runs we had. "Oh man, wish we just had that one guy". We hoped Nash would be it, and he wasn't. The Rangers have 3 of those guys now, and it might be more in the next few seasons depending on which young guys rise to the task.

Instilling work ethic is a Torts specialty, and less mistakes comes with experience if it isn't innate (like with Fox). If Torts gets hired, I would wager the Rangers win a Cup within the next 3 years.

Already fired once by the NYR. Bring him back so he can get fired again.

  6. If that was a valid " response " to a guy that pulled #89 down to the ice, punched him in the head, and then went after Panarin with a typical Tom Wilson cheap shot, then I've been mistaken lo these many years as to what retribution is in the NHL world. Nice that the guys responded but, was that enough given that Panarin is hurt and out and Tom Wilson is still playing? Maybe a stick to the face, a REAL check into the boards and a slew foot would've made the point. To now say that this group is soft, is saying what people have been saying over and over. It took Tom Wilson's actions to ignite a response in the NEXT game? Getting rid of Brendan Lemieux for zilch was another bonehead move. Quinn never gave him a definite role at which he could do better. There are more than enough players in the league that are excellent and don't take those kind of actions lightly. Management has chosen to go the skill and finesse route. You reap what you sow. BTW, the ridiculous nonsensical penalties that this group takes says it all. Bye now, you band wagoneers. The previous info was brought to y'all be the YSUOA.
  7. That's not quite true. Players jumped in to help, there's just no one who could handle wilson at all.

IT'S EXACTLY TRUE!! NOT ONE SINGLE PLAYER DROPPED HIS GLOVES AND BELTED WILSON IN THE CHOPS. THESE GUYS DISGRACED THEMSELVES BY LETTING A GUY LIKE HIM GO UNPUNISHED. A BUNCH OF FANCY DANS THAT HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO PHYSICALITY IN THEIR BLOOD. HE ALWAYS PLAYS THAT WAY AND NOONE KICKS HIS ASS. SMASHING PANARIN'S HEAD ON THE ICE AND PUNCHING HIM WHILE DOWN WAS NOT ANSWERED BY A SINGLE PLAYER. I'M FURIOUS OVER THE WAY THIS TEAM PLAYS LIKE SOFT MARSHMALLOWS. IT'S DISGUSTING AND DOWNRIGHT INSULTING TO THOSE THAT PAY TO BE FORCED TO WATCH THIS KIND OF DISPLAY.
